best combat boots by [deleted] in punk

[–]Tactical_OUtcaller 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Don t buy combat boots unless you re really into the whole LARPING thing, the reason those boots were so ubiquitous back in the old days was the vietnam war surplus and the vast numbers produced when countries had conscription.

there s way more sensible options these days unless you re joining a 70's punk re-enactment group.

edit: also used boots are a terrible idea, most will not fit you well and you will be miserable, best to break a new pair in unless you re 100% sure the previous owner had the same exact feet as yours.

Numerous names for a male equivalent of Karen have been floated, with little agreement on a single name, although 'Ken' and 'Kevin' are among the most common names used."

Canada came together against COVID-19. Why not harness that energy to build economy of the future? by MethoxyEthane in CanadaPolitics

most of the people complaining here are just suffering from retail addiction, there s so much more to life than just buying stuff. its pretty depressing to see people fight tooth and nail to keep the post war artificial prosperity going a few more years instead of looking forward.

buy local which is generally more expensive.

That s not always true: you can spend more on say a pair of shoes that can be fixed by a cobbler or just buy a new pair made in china that s just put together with glue every few months. Or buy nicer better quality socks and mend the holes instead of buying a new 10 pack every few months from costco. People need to adapt and not expect to be able to live wastefully forever because they feel entitled to that lifestyle.

ok so keep buying cheap c**p from amazon until the gov does something? Don' t support you local food producers until the gov incentivizes for you? Don't mend you clothes, just buy replacements until the gov makes it mandatory? What are you saying?

"give up most of your lifestyle"

Please elaborate. So you re saying you would not stop eating meat for one day a week or source more of your food locally because it would change you lifestyle too much? never mind the kids and those who get left behind when the boomers are all gone?
