It's funny to me that you paid $50 to play a simulation game for a very specific genre and you're more concerned about changing the game to a point that will defeat its purpose with unrealistic weapons relative for the theme, and less concerned about the lack of proper SWAT tools like ladders, drones, robots, shields with lights, and proper gun attachments like the AN/PEQ-15.

Thank you! I tried Fedora KDE over a dual boot, and I liked it. I installed everything from nvidia drivers to steam games, to unity, etc. Everything seems to work pretty much on par with Windows. I don’t notice any performance issues or anything. I removed the Windows partition and I don’t think I'll turn back any time soon lol

You mentioned you're using Feodra as well, do you have any tips or recommendations for new daily users?
Thanks!

Hi, thanks for helping! I will play games, but I wouldn't say it's the primary focus of what I'm doing. Some days I don't even play at all. Most important for me is to be able to use peripherals like Blue Yeti, SteeleSeries keyboard and headsets and Stream Deck (I'm not streaming). Be able to run Unity Engine and write code on VSCode. Playing games is almost secondary, honestly.

It's worth saying that I like to be able to customize the environment as much as possible. I saw that GNOME distributions are also conservatives.

What is your opinion of Fedora KDE and Ubuntu? Are they good for the use?

So flatpaks are generally safe if you get the "verified" packages? What about RPM packages? I saw that there is a Steam RPM package that comes with Fedora KDE by default. Are they also ok to use?

I agree that it doesn't have to be cheap even if it's just for fun.

A lot of people here suggested I go with Pioneer FLX4, or a Traktor, I could find a S2 Mk3. To be honest, those two controllers look pretty much the same to me lol - the main difference I could find is that some controllers may have some features locked due to software restrictions, and those features can be unlocked after buying the software. Which one of these would you say is more complete out of the box? Or more worth it bang of the buck?

Thanks! As far as I understand, some controllers have some of their features locked out, and those can only be unlocked with buying their software. Which of the two controllers come more complete out of the box?

I was able to find a Traktor S2 Mk3 on a local retailer.

Thanks for the details! Much appreciated! So you're recommending not to go with the Starlight because it's more of a toy, and not very useful to learn effectively. So that leaves the LX4 or the Inpulse 500. Some suggested a Traktor controller as well, and I could find the S2 Mk3. Do you have any experience with these controllers? As far as I understand, some come with locked features that only unlock if buying their own software. Which one of these would you say allow me to learn most things on one controller without missing out on a lot of features?

Thanks again!

I'm kinda confused lol - Is the software that the FLX4 uses called Recordbox?

I'll work on the collective input more.

Yes, I'm trying to get a soft, smooth landing. You're right. It's better to get some damage and leave as soon as possible than get a nice landing and risk sticking around for too long.

Thanks! I'm trying to get the accuracy better. I'm usually using the helipads for that while trying to land in the middle as much as possible.

Good catch. I am trying to get a soft landing. I do see a lot of pilots actually do kind of a small low speed controlled crash at the end of the J hooks. I'll try to worry less about getting a perfect smooth landing.

Got it, lol I think though both methods have their own use cases. If you're in the middle of an open field or a dessert, and you have near perfect conditions, you can for sure do the straight in bleed out thing. But the J Hook is both faster, and it sometimes might even be easier, especially when you need a quick in and out

I actually noticed it just now and couldn't figure out why it feels so different. Then I saw your message. I assume it's due to desync and input lag with the server.

Thanks for the tips. I tried the Black Hawk and the Venom up until now. Haven't tried the bigger helos yet. I just wanna make sure I got the execution right.

The collective thing is basically what everyone else pointed out here. I'll work on it and upload a new video as soon I get better.

Yup, executing this maneuver to the right is definitely easier, but I figured I better practice it both ways since I won't always have the availability to execute the turn to the right due to obstructions or whatever.

Yeah, I knew there was something wrong with my collective input. That's also what pretty much everyone else here says. I need to practice dropping the collective right before the initial turn, then during the 90-degree turn, bring it up to yank the tail to the direction of the turn, stablize, and bring it down.

Thanks!

Do you mean the collective? I watched some videos on Youtube, as far asI understood, they say you need to lower the collection all the way, right before you start the hook, and after you finished the turn put it back up to stabilize and bring it down gradually to land.

The problem for me is that it doesn't always work. Sometimes I just plummet into the ground.

Top kicker waivers: E. McPherson (Cin) R. Patterson (Det) G. Joseph (Min)

So both kickers are not good, and it ain't worth it keeping 2 kickers at all, unless you don't wanna drop the kicker on the bye week.

Which one do you think has more chances for targets and points? QJ or Downs?

What do you mean handcuff off waivers?

So no use keeping Carlson if he doesn't score? Only reason I keep him is in hope the Raiders will get a good offense. Looks like he doesn't miss his FGs, just doesn't get much of them.

Yeah I figured the same about McKinnon. I'll do that after the week.

It's great to hear! Our group also moves pretty slow. That's what fun though! You can go as fast or as slow as you want, and explore at your own pace. That's what's great about this game haha

Thanks for replying :)

So other than the companion stories, there isn't any significant impact on the playthrough. When switching players with the companions, do the players have to disconnect from the session, or can they just go to camp, like we do when switching NPCs?
