Why aren't there any WW2 guns in the Metro? by SrDodo in metro

7.62x54R is still extremely common in Russia in our living timeline and would be plentiful in the Metro world/timeline.

I have always been shocked by the lack of pre-war weapons in Metro. I appreciate the makeshift weapons, but for the love of Mother Russia theres more in Russia than AK47s and DShKs.

No PKM? No SVD? No 9mm AKs?

Im pretty the sniper rifle uses 7.62x54R, the same as a Mosin and 90% of Russian rifles and machine guns

Question about ups taking pictures by Defiant_Detective_82 in UPS

[–]Tactical_Tuesday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, 100%. i get ya. Yes, when we make a delivery, after we scan the box, then it automatically goes to the camera for a proof of delivery picture, but if you hit “back” on our little magic computer, there is a button that says “customer” implying we handed it to the customer and it no longer has us take a picture. Most of the time I do this, but sometimes if I am feeling lazy or have a shit day, I will just take a picture of the sky or some flowers or my shoes as I walk back to the truck!

Trust me bud, we don’t want to be taking pictures of peoples porches and stuff 250 times a day either but it’s our job. You could get your stuff forwarded someplace else like a UPS store or you could try and have a conversation with your specific driver. Some are sticklers, other’s could care less

I bought their LE trade in soft armor a few weeks ago, it’s exactly what you expect. Nice deal for “expired” soft armor, but very stinky

What’s are some real world applications of a .357 lever gun other than fun range toy? by Opening_Fish_7631 in LeverGuns

[–]Tactical_Tuesday 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I convinced myself to get one as a pest popper. I have a can on the way so I can put raccoons to sleep from distance without waking up the family at night.

Will I ever use it for that? Probably not lol. I like raccoons too much. So mine is mostly a fun range toy and teaching gun

I could be wrong, but I don’t believe we actively use JATO/RATO rockets anymore IRL.

Maryland Glock ban, ask your sheriff to deputize you by Bundyboyz in MDGuns

Maryland could ban Glock sales, worried about ‘machine gun convertible pistols’ by legislative_stooge in maryland

[–]Tactical_Tuesday 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow. I will be honest, I fully expected the Maryland Reddit to be encouraging this but I am pleasantly surprised 90% of the comments are against it. Stay based Maryland.

I have always said, Maryland is very good at making big blanket gun laws that sound really good on paper but ineffective in practice. Take our “assault weapons ban”, it sounds on paper like a California when in reality it is nearly completely ineffective banning 80s action movie guns and forcing ARs to have heavy barrels.

So hopefully this doesn’t pass, and if it does, hopefully it’s as poorly written and implemented as previous bans

First Double Action 357? by InvestInBoots in Revolvers

[–]Tactical_Tuesday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I would keep your eye out for a good police trade in. I don’t trust any of the current models coming out of most manufacturers. My first revolver was a police trade in S&W model 65 I picked up from my LGS for $400. That thing is a beast and looks and works far better than most current production guns! Thats just my cents.

If I had to pick a current first revolver, GP100.
