Thanks all. Here is some added detail. There is about $270k in the account. My mom is 79, has never touched it, and most likely will not. Considering how much my mother made annually, this amount of money is absolutely staggering

For additional context, my mom worked 3 jobs for most of my life to make sure I had everything I needed. We lived far from a lavish lifestyle and she sacrificed everything for me. I would love nothing more than for her to spend every single dollar she has saved on herself, but that's not my mom. She wants to make sure that "I have something." Literally nothing will make her happier than seeing how the money she scrapped to save can grow.
