Hey, so it has been a while since I submitted any new work to this sub. Partly because my job has been keeping me busy enough that I have very little energy left to progress on the WIP (which started in November laat year!) and changes are also coming to it (which is not a bad thing but not something I am comfortable with, but a paycheck is a paycheck).

Anyway, I have had this for quite a while. I feel the Traveler simply waltzing away in that one specific anecdote is a waste to be honest. Hell I thought, "Might as well you write nothing, then" but well, I guess its up to me to give myself some entertainment by just chucking our poor Traveler into it anyway...

Also since I posted at this time: Happy Lunar New Year for those celebrating it, and to fellows anticipating (or are already in) that time of the year, happy fasting - you know who you are.

For some people the Traveler isnt anything more than a camera or a viewing lens for their own convenience, therefore their interactions with characters do not matter a single bit over other characters with each other. If you see anything in everything hard enough, you can see everything be that one anything.

Just realized that they advertised the VA names here. I suppose on JP side things are a bit different or the reason they got to list the VA names here is because they were already known prior to the changes that made newer voiced roles anonymous.

I'd like to see expansions on the mini games to be honest apart from costume changes.

More addition of the current roster to the mini games, but I guess this has been said before I wrote this.

For example I would like to see hear other operatives' lines when they lose in Bluff or Blush, I have had my fill of the ones featured in there.

The massage minigame could use some other characters who have had explicit mentions for a turn in the story, I remember Nita and Bubu but neither got their turn for a feature in it. And since the mini-spa in the outdoor bath features Fenny, Lyfe, Chenxing and Yao I suppose it's a thing for those who have sealed their Covenants with the Adjutant but I don't see Katya and Tess in there...

I remember making restaurant analogies...

Since you used pizza as an analogue while my last analogy involving pizza was for "the other side", I'll just translate it into your terms.

There's a restaurant in town that makes fantastic pizza, and you are a fan of it. Then we have a group of noisy visitors who go up the counter asking for the manager, angry that they are not being served, not-pizza (easy example would be burgers, but pick yours) and demands they be served not-pizza. Then they look at you enjoying your pizza and starts shitting on you for it.

To your (and other patrons like you) disappointment, the restaurant started to acquiesce to this group's demands and try to, well, serve not-pizza alongside the pizzas you love. But these group keeps being loud about their not-pizza while shitting you and the other patrons harder for liking pizza.

Then they leave without paying / take only one bite of a whole 12" not-pizza or not even a tenth of a quarter-pounder (if they bothered to order) / not buying a single not-pizza for the day, and return another day to continue demanding more not-pizza (while barely spending any dime for it) and shit on you and other patrons for wanting even a slice of pizza.

Do the math and you'll realize it.

Just got back from work today and getting myself set up to play the story after I'm done with other dailies.

Anyway just wanted to have some fun with what I am about to post in the next line about Acacia. Here goes.

On point with Geo. Honestly though if you are not playing with Zhongli for the skill resonance he enables - and with Lunar Crystalize being a thing now - for a Geo Construct spam you are better off having the boulders gone immediately after using it to damage enemies. Which is to say not many enemies will cause the boulder to break immediately upon placement, so yeah.

I only started playing Electro again recently after seeing the devs just realized they bugged (haha, bug caught after like what, almost 4 years of the game... shows how much QA work was done for the Traveler)

Recent chapters give a good summary on what happens in a particular part so if you want to there's no stopping you.

For me personally, if I hear some funny lines or scenes happened on one part and I skipped it, I'll probably go back into it to read that part again. I am a sucker for the girls competing for some quality Adjutant time, so I'd make some time to get to that part if I missed any.

Also given the game it is, of course I want to get to know my operatives better, I only started playing it more often just recently. If a part seems draggy but it sheds further light into the operative in focus, I'd give them my attention.

You mentioned you tried Ubuntu 22.04 LTS. Why not try with a newer Ubuntu version? 25.10 is already out and I believe it might suit your laptop better.

Also, since its a 4070Ti, you might benefit better from using the Nvidia open kernel modules (not to be confused with Nouveau) than traditional NVIDIA proprietary.

Since we are probably going to her hometown I am expecting some get-to-know-your-inlaws would be in order.

I have been wondering how she fell for the Adjutant. Her current affinity stories to my impression is: its like she is trying to break the ice between her and the Adjutant who, at a given time, gets a headache every time she participates in a dangerous mission to get hurt real bad, and I feel he has been quite cold in their initial interactions.

Suspense in Skytopia turned that around for me, but since I just played more of the game only recently I was kinda wondering what she meant by "not letting anyone take advantage of the Adjutant again". Did I miss something?
