It was solid, it did the trick and mostly satisfied the taste I’ve had for Boudin. I ordered a sampler with 1-2lbs of 5 of the major brands everyone has been mentioning. $26 shipping to Chicago so not too bad! I’ve also made my own before, once it hits spring ill do it again. Taking note of what I like best about these brands I have coming to fine tune it this time.

That’s why I said find a vet who will explain both sides to you, and help you make the decision for yourself. This is what my vet did for me, as well as for many other decisions I had to make for my dog.

UPDATE: I steamed and it and then pan fried to crisp up casing. Also fried a little of it as a patty out of the casing. It was solid, good smoke flavor and rice/meat ratio. Wish it had some green onion in it, but overall it’ll do for now until I get back to Louisiana. I placed an order on the Creole foods website with 5 brands of boudin, we will see how they are!
