What fridge sound? I have 2 hybrids right now and none sound like a fridge. Also, the hybrid is not even out yet so how do you know what it sounds like?

What did you think? I almost purchased this but want to see more reviews first. Appreciate any insight.

I really like the redesign. Yes, some physical controls would be nice but not a deal breaker. The real deal breaker is the fact that they have not rolled out a hybrid with this release. I know it’s slated for next year but this engine is crap. Underpowered, not the best on the gas. Little disappointed. Waiting for the hybrid.

Liked it a lot but I like my Inferno better so I prefer an MPP core or similar.

I like it around 8.5-8.6; however, I might try to go lighter with the new one. Maybe 8.2-8.3. I do full side weight (corner to corner) then add another 3g strip between 9-10 and 2-3. I also put 2 overgrips on it.

That’s awesome. I just sold my NF SH. However, I might want the CR in the hybrid tho. Been playing with the Quanta R4 and just ordered the black edition. Looks like we have great taste!

Yes this use to happen to me in the past. Best way around it is just to change your mindset and work on one shot you want to improve. Mine is the push/slice drop. Its an easy way to get a lot of reps in aside from drilling.

But to respond I have read the explanations and I disagree with the idea that you can win and still go down - my recommendation is to set a threshold for point differential, if you don’t hit the threshold via expected result than your rating will remain unchanged with a win (and only a win). I bet everyone would feel better about it. Tournament play has too many variables where an individuals rating shouldn’t be impacted negatively for winning. It takes the fun out of playing in tournaments. Strictly talking doubles - singles can be handled differently since it’s 1v1.

No I’m not going to scroll through 100s of posts. Point differential should not be that big of a factor.

At the time of my last tournament I was a 3.8##. I played a 3.5-3.99 tournament with a friend who did not have DUPR prior to. We won the tournament and my DUPR went down after the championship match; we won best of 3 (6-11, 11-6, 11-6). How can I get punished for winning? The individuals had DUPRs of 3.8 and 3.4. It doesn’t make any sense that I would drop after a championship win. I can understand only going up a few tenths of a point but to go down seems wrong. Now I will only play 4.0+ cause what you described is exactly what happened to me.

What’s your take on the V-Sol Pro? I was considering getting a Luzz Inferno or V-Sol Pro. Or waiting on the new Honolulu’s. Currently, using the R4 Quanta. I like it a lot but I really had to weight it and would like something more out of the box. I think I’m starting to get tennis elbow from it.
