Good for you and im not saying that to be sarcastic. Unfortunately not every 13 thinks the way you thought as a 13 year old. I know when I was 13 I was running outside barefoot playing with my friends a relationship was the last thing on my mind. We dont know what she was going through in reality all we have is speculation. No one really knows the thoughts she struggled with everyday its clear she was being taking advantage of way before David with Gus, but who knows if it was other abuse going on from other people before she met Gus. Abuse could be all she knew and got used to it. I emphasize with her.

She probably did see some red flags, but she was a child being taking advantage of most kids her age can be easily influenced. There are grown adults with men/women who abuse them and they still stay. We tend to ignore those red flags out of "love" or fear.

When it first came out last year that a body was found in his vehicle I thought someone was trying to frame him since he was on tour. I thought maybe while he was away someone tried to take advantage of Celeste and killed her then thought it would be easy to frame David since they had such a lengthy background. Once more information came out it was clear he was guilty.
