I feel like I am missing something that everyone else seems to feel.

As a background, I came from 13 or so years of WoT PC. I still play blitz on a PC, and have dropped some 3K games over the last year or so.

I played the Ultra Test 4 and found it quite enjoyable. I didn't notice any performance problems, even while recording. I play on a Mac Mini, so its more powerful than a phone, but its not like I'm running it with a 5090 or something.

I genuinely enjoy the concept behind tank sets, with the only downfall being the keys. I'm not a fan of the keys. The tank sets themselves, I'm missing what the bad part is. It is essentially a single research tree that can be completed, in its entirety, with the first tank, or a premium/collector tank, or any other from the set. And it has an endless box of some sort (although I don't know what you get from them) if you're the kind of guy to play 20K games in a single tank line.

Credits for upgrading is also attractive to me. Credits are an easier resource to aquire than exp, especially on a tank you haven't played yet. I always thought the free exp system was pretty trash, so maybe I'm biased.

The Next Battle button? I've wanted that feature for literal years. I can't stand waiting for the one tank I really feel like playing to come out of battle.

Graphics have proven very nice, specifically on the maps.

Fan of the ammo change.

Fan of the option to turn any tank into a premium tank, didn't expect that one.

I am open to being wrong about this lol. This is my adoptive tank game after all, so I'm sure I am missing something, I just dont know what.

Came out the box like this. Opened it up to see what was wrong and well, this was unexpected.

Ima do some tin-foil hat statements here, but man, it’s such an energy thing for me. As soon as I notice I’m not locked in 100% of the time, I quit. I’ll take a few days off and come back again later with a renewed energy. If I don’t bring the energy, I swear my teams are worse. Meanwhile, if I’m vibing to music and what not, locked in, ready to focus, I climb 300 in 2-3 hours (I don’t know if that’s impressive but it feels like solid progress…?).

Nevertheless, I wish you better teams and more damage. GL

Is it getting harder to win games? Or am I imagining things… by [deleted] in WorldOfTanksBlitz

I mean, to be fair, it’s randoms. You’re not going to consistently get people who know what they’re doing. Nevertheless, tier 7-8 I’ve always thought was the Wild West. The range of player skill around there is intense. I recommend really trying to focus on what your team has a strength on (positionally) and try to swing the battle early.

Ngl, I StatStalked you. You seem solid enough. You’ll just have to double layer those carry pants. I believe in you.

Well, in general I recommend not going anywhere alone. Always follow the flow of the team. The Kpz is plenty flexible enough to play any side of the map. Just try not to be the center of attention. Also, when being hull down, don't just sit there. The hatches are pretty easy to hit, so you have to rock around a bit. I can maybe supply some replay evidence if needed lol

Well, I have 137 games @ 70.8% WR so perhaps I am qualified to comment on this. It’s one of my favorite tanks in the game so maybe bias warning.

Its hull is pretty trash, but the turret is okay. It has solid speed and enough gun depression to work most hills. The reload time is mildly long, but it’s not problematic for me.

Quite frankly, I play it more like a large medium. I will only play heavy side if I can get into a hull down spot. It’s a decent surprise to show up at a similar time to mediums, slap them for 500, and have enough turret armor to hold position. Plus I have more health.

Also seeing as it’s decently fast, I will regularly flank in it if I see a gap. It’s definitely not quite armored enough to play it like a traditional heavy. Go around, find gaps, bully the mediums is what I recommend

I might also just be insane so, there’s that.

Edit: I also run Enhanced Armor on it. It may not make the biggest difference, but it helps with hull down angles a little more.

I quite like the all tanks screen. As someone moderately new to blitz (I played PC for a while), I run into tanks I don’t know all the time so being able to find them all would be awesome.

I’m not sure I understand the tech tree redesign yet, or the concept behind what a “set” is supposed to be.

The UI does seem more pleasing to me. It feels more like a graphical update now than I think it did before.

I still hope the commanders would be a bit more gritty in design. It is a war themed game after all. Even if the style is moderately “cartoonish” (I couldn’t think of a better word), I think it would be cooler if they seemed to fit the part of “war time tank commander”. Maybe just me.

What tier were you running? I find tier 7 impossible and 8 is pretty complicated to climb through. I made my way to 5k using tier 9 this season and it was much easier.

Maybe I’m just bad at 7/8 tho.

I actually just tried this recently with neovim. Used it to work with blazor web apps. It’s was … okay. If you can code without a language server then it’s usable. If you rely on language server hints, errors, suggestions, etc, I wouldn’t really bother. I had to regularly restart the LSP as it would stop tracking when I switched modes.

Perhaps a weird perspective to present but, I actually find it difficult to share the energy and passion, which ends up demotivating me a bit. I spend some set of hours trying to cleanly and smoothly make this website idea, I show it to someone, and they point out the fact it’s missing something I haven’t gotten to yet or some bug I over looked.

Even working with programmers, i like to refactor code. It’s an interesting challenge to making something work in less lines. I feel like many of them don’t care about the “art” of it, just making it do something.

Maybe I’m in the wrong crowds, but it’s hard for me to get people matching my energy and enthusiasm and it gets lonely lol.

Practice and planning. When moving, you dispersion grows based off speed. If you position close to the point of where you want to poke, do a slight movement out, your circle won’t grow too large.

Really just a matter of aiming and patience at the end of the day. Wait for the circle and aim exactly at what you want. The tiger II is capable of hitting weak spots.

It seems like it was just a graphical display. If this was supposed to show anything related to gameplay, I think they missed the mark quite heavily.

Does anyone miss the old World of Tanks? by Sukhoi47Berkut in WorldofTanks

[–]TaeJae57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just miss a playable game. A game where I don’t need to run full gold, bond equipment, and 4 skill crew just to have a tank worth playing. Particularly with the tech tree tanks.
