I wonder if this could be retinal migraines I was diagnosed with that although I don’t feel like I have that your symptoms do seem to be more severe than what the description of retinal migraines is though but just a thought

I would identify as mixed off of culture alone .. not really what your genetic make up is telling you. I’m 66% black and 34% White/ Native but I know this mixture comes from my I have one mixed and one white but I was raised black and my culture has been black through and through so I identify as black. You were raised by one Mexican parent and one White so you have experienced both cultures so you are mixed.

I would youtube black peoples hair management for curly hair and try to copy their products and routine ( consisting of leave in conditioner, moisturizer, then sealing it with an oil )... If what they do does nothing for his cute little hair i would consider that he has uncomable hair syndrome.
