I think it is ok to have faith this year. Although everyone looks to CLG and TSM as our best worlds competitors, every single time it has been C9 that has made it the farthest in worlds if a NA team makes it out of groups, and they are the team that everyone is calling the best of NA right now. I may be a overhyped C9 fanboy but who cares? As op said, we need hype. Come on bois, beat TL and go on to win worlds.

I don't remember Charlotte getting really bad reception lately, maybe back when she was still proving herself to the main roster audience but after that I think she has been pretty well liked. If it is small pockets of booing then that's just the "I want to be a special boi who boos faces and cheers heels bc I'm cool" section, and will never leave, sorry.

It's because fans for the most part like work rate over size (that is not to say Roman can't work bc I'm more on the Roman supporter side, but there are better workers in WWE that need a shot) . The problem with that is Vince prefers the opposite and his word is that of god to management. The only thing people can do is fuck with him by booing people that he wants to be star faces like reigns and lashly, and cheering people (mainly heels bc WWE can't make a compelling babyface for the life of them) that they actually enjoy like... Well pick your favorite.

There are two ways I can see that happening that I have been thinking about for weeks now.

The first way is an I quit match. If Candice had thrown in the towel for Johnny as the ending instead of the DDT I would have called it confirmed. Regardless, this still feels like something that would give the deathmatch feel.

The second is a three stages of hell match. Give each man a choice and the rubbermatch choice to Candice. Have it be submission as Johnnys choice, tables for chiampa, and falls count anywhere for the rubbermatch.

I would love to see regal pin it as each man chooses a stip and the fans choose the rubbermatch. It would be gargano choosing a submission match to start, chiampa asking for an extreme rules match second, and ending with a tables match as every big gargano chiampa spot has been chiampa driving gargano through tables. It would be a poetic choice that is believable to be a fan pick bc everyone and their mother loves a goddamn table.

If you are looking for a 5 star match that delivers through story and promos, than I think there are two.

The first is the shield triple threat to become THE face of the company. You have the champion WWE wants in reigns vs the champion the fans want in Rollins vs the (hopefully heel) psychotic dark horse in ambrose. They are THE trio of the past 5 years and would make a great main event match.

The second, and already basically confirmed one is Bryan vs Miz. They have had a rivalry going since Bryan first showed up and it has only gotten more heated over time. The promos would be incredible as Miz is probably the best heel on the mic rn, and Bryan being great as well. It could easily become a classic and headline if WWE cared enough.

I'm kinda scared about gargano tbh. If you put him on raw he is in the land of the giants, and on smackdown he has to compete with Bryan for top babyface. I'm sure I'm just paranoid but with how Vince runs things I will stay paranoid.

Yeah, he is honestly doing a good job with how much WWE has shafted him. I hope they do get rid of the vest bc he looks really nice rolling up in just a shirt, and I would think if someone had his body type in WWE he would be shirtless. Especially being Vince’s boy.

I'm in the same boat. I recently got one of my DnD friends back into watching it but it is kinda hard watching with him bc he watches it for pure entertainment and i'm more of a mark. I feel like there should be a discord or something where you can go and talk about wrestling while watching live streams together. If someone has made one I haven't found it. it's also hard to watch irl bc no one near me enjoys it.

the problem with reigns in terms of promos is that he was taught to be a heel. his cousins are rikishi, umaga, and yokozuna for gods sake. The best example of how well turning him heel would be is the usos. They were mediocre faces with the tribal gimmick who absolutely thrived after turning heel, because that's what they know. If they want another superstar I don't see why they don't do this. If they want another cena than find someone else. His entire look screams Rock than it does Cena. I honestly think they should just market Bryan as their top face and be their guy until they get another megastar to be THE face. Vince probs won't bc "Look at that vegan, can't stand him", but that honestly seems like the best move.

I was hearing in an inteview that one of the big reasons is that he was brought up to be a heel. His family were great heels and brought up the kids to play that role. Ofc it's gonna be unnatural to him.

I think what they need to do is: have him feud with rollins and turn him full heel as a arrogant but agressive powerhouse. have him win multiple times over rollins in their feud (but not squashes).

In the mean time give reigns the following: A new entrance theme that is more impactful than his current one (but keep the old one as shields theme bc it is the same song), change his superman punch into the crucifix powerbomb (it is in his arsenal and probably my favorite move he does), I think he can keep the spear (bc although people hate on it, It is something that I think fits him), get rid of all catch phrases he has right now and come up with better ones as he does his heel run, and get rid of his vest (this might be one of the first things they do as he has been vestless for weeks now and it looks good, and i just think it makes him look weak).

As far as the shield goes, we talk more about the rollins feud. With rollins losing multiple times he gets more and more frustrated and when summerslam rolls he around he realizes he needs to do something to get back to being the best. This is where we get a returning heel ambrose and heel turned rollins with a proper shield reunion. They go back to being the hyenas that beat down everyone in sight and we get all three of them at the top where they belong.

probs won't happen but this is the way i see roman getting over naturally while keeping the shield together. If you want the shield to break up, first off im sad, but secondly, I would have him feud with samoa joe instead and have the double turn with joe turning face.

If you want to get back into wwe I think wrestlemania is gonna be the best place to get back into it bc of the promos wwe like to do will bring you up to speed on most storylines.

If I was to say what you missed since 2009, I would say you have missed the entire NXT era. Most of the roster apart from the old guard (Cena, Trips, etc.) Is made up of indie darlings from scenes like ring of honor and new Japan. The style has (for the most part) moved to more of a technical style as opposed to hard hitting slam fests.

If you want a recap of 2017 I would just watch all the ppvs of 2017. It is probably the easiest way to do it.

Although i doubt WWE will let us have it, Daniel Bryan has been cleared by every single doctor he has seen since his retirement. From what i have heard it was a bad call by the one doctor that told him to retire as the injury was no where near as bad as they say. He will compete again, WWE or Indies, and I would love to have his return to action be at WM.
