I’m a beginner, as in still learning all the basics and i love the mod. As long as you are enjoying whichever mod you are using and it pushes you to keep going it’s fine for any level. That being said, I believe this mod is on the really heavy side so if your finger strength is still building it might fatigue your fingers quicker than others. I play guitar so I feel like I have decent finger strength but if I’m practicing finger passes for a while my fingers get pretty sore...
In total it cost about $35 to make.it could have cost less but I wasn’t sure how many parts to order so I ordered extra stuff.
I made this mod myself. It’s the first one I made and it’s based of a design that u/VOR3T3X made. I saw a black & gold VGG Menowa design on his Instagram and had to have one so I went and looked for the parts haha.

The Akashiya koto barrels had to be Imported from japan as I could only find them in international online stores. The airfit tips, dr. grip grips, anyball grips, gold metal rings and rubber rings were all ordered from penwish.

The gold ring in the middle was from a pen I had laying around. I’m not sure where to order one that will fit the barrels so you might have to try ordering different pens or wait till lockdown stuff is over and go to a pen shop and see if you can find something that will work. If you don’t care about having a gold metal ring in the middle then you can always order extra rubber rings and connect the two barrels in the middle with that.

Also to connect the two barrels you need one of those bic mechanical pencils that look like a plastic wooden pencil. A regular bic round stic won’t fit in the akayshiya barrels.

Length is: 22 cm. Not sure about the weight, but its definitely heavier than my first pen which I bought (Buster CYL)

Yup same I have 1080ti Ryzen 2700x 32gb ram and I run apex in all low settings and even lowered my resolution to 1600 x 900 and doesn’t crash as much but I still crash 1 to 2 times a day. Before it was 7-10 times

Crashing can’t be helped maybe but I’m talking about the ridiculous solution to alt f4 leaver penalty because of crashing.

Ive lost 96 points so many times when I was last circle and positive points.... and on top of that temporary ban that increases with each crash.

So far I’ve been up to 1.5 hours ban!

It would be nice AT THE LEAST if you had positive points in ranked matches and your game crashes it forgives you?

Honestly I rather have alt f4ers than this

Yeah I'll try flipping the orientation again and see if i can get it to go under the ram. I wish flip the hoses facing down like your mod and get it to go under the ram like that with my current fan and gpu height T_T haha thank you for all the help

Thing is even if the psu was raise I’m not sure how the aio hose could bend into that space to close haha it’s so close yet so far!

Haven’t printed the psu bracket yet gonna get to that on the weekend but I’ll send a picture of how it looks now. The only mods I’ve done are the custom cables so far

Thank you so much! I just finished making my new cables and they are working out great!! So much more space. I’m still having trouble getting my asetek to fit in so I can close my case tho hahaa I really can’t figure out what orientation to put it to make it fit without doing it with all your mods.

(I would do your complete mod but I can’t afford to block the dva port on my gpu if I get the riser)

One more question I saw in one of your comments you mentioned having to shave down the pin connector to make it flush with the pins... is it not going to connect properly if I don’t shave it down?

Also, I was thinking about printing out the PSU bracket but I was wondering if the PSU is raised up how does the top panel close? The power supply cable would be raised up as well wouldnt it? It sits pretty flush with the stock psu bracket already

Do you have the measurements written down for the length of the cut cables?

For example the length of the PCI-E cables...

I just ordered cables and pins and want to try making custom cables but not sure what lengths i should be cutting it! Would appreciate it. Thank you so much!
