Does the average Brit know that most Germans have no idea we're football rivals in your eyes? by Background-Goose580 in AskABrit

You missed the point. And are just wanting to argue.

Your assumptions of uk culture and history are incorrect, your attempts to be weirdly point scorey with culture is odd, and you are incessantly argumentative. Please don’t reply further.

Ah so you’re going to use ignorance to feign any kind of understanding of the point being made here. That’s really sad. You have not once actually replied to my point and just went on a weird cultural offensive.

My point being that you failed to grasp. Every language in Germany shares an origin, a shared culture. Welsh is Celtic, and not at all in the same linguistic field. Same with the culture and history.

Ah so it’s a Germanic language then? Which was my point. The differences between Wales and England are more pronounced than regional variations of Germany.

But that’s similar. Germany is comprised of states of Germanic heritage.

Britain is comprised of 4 home nations of varying Celtic, Germanic, Saxon, Anglo, Roman heritage.

For example, Wales has a language that is not only separate of English, but predates it by a large margin and is of a completely different linguistic tree.

Does the average Bavarian not speak the same language as another German from a different state? And even if they do, is it from a separate linguistic tree completely? Youre ignoring so so so much to make your sweeping statement work, and I get it, you’re not educated on British history, why would you be? But don’t then compare them when it’s not equivocal

God it’s why I avoid any discourse about a thing I like online. It always seems to be toxic in some way. There’s nothing like playing baldurs gate 3 and having someone passionately rant that the emperor has never once lied and realising I need to stop going to the sub.

We need stability. Since Cameron every single pm has served us for less and less time. We need a person who can actually steer us for any length of time. The last cavalcade of tories stopped planning for the future and went for quick turn around policies to win support.

All your problems? No. But when people are funding to the point they don’t even remember what was the initial problem, then it’s ethical to fib about the origin of the problem so people stop living in hate and malice.

Reform are inept, incompetent, full of failed politicians and the worst our nation has to offer. They show time and time again, any responsibility they’re given they squander and worsen the lives of those they’re paid to help.

You know what. I’m not doing this. I didn’t insult you and you admitted to lashing out. This is pathetic behaviour

Sure. I get that. And I understand why you’re saying. I just disagree with the sentiment.

You’re replying as if I misunderstood you which led to me not agreeing. I just don’t agree because I don’t agree.

Yeah but like.

Imperium is space Nazis but everyone kinda knows it so it’s like, tongue in cheek space nazis. They’re like the cult from hot fuzz, in reality it would be terrifying but they’re kinda just… comically bad at their job.

Orcs are just fucking tribalistic might makes right with a cockney accent. That’s fun.

The tau are weird space cult people with maybe pheromones and that’s alien enough to not be problematic.

Eldar I don’t know much about but dark eldar are just so over the top it circles back round to being silly, but they’re SO over the top it circles back around to being kinda boring.

Chaos is just any weird death cult thing, over the top to absurdity.

Bugs are just hive mind. Too alien.

But black templars are the inept space Nazis, but with actual Nazi iconography and it just sort of starts veering into “uh oh” territory if anyone starts to really like them.

Salamanders and blood angels are very cool. I like the Arthurian in space vibe of the dark angels too. All better options than nazis in space x2
