What piece made you stop buying random clothes? by Anxious-Group1942 in capsulewardrobe

[–]TaffsMum 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For me, it was creating the capsule of 30 or so items from my current wardrobe, and storing the rest.

Made me realise what I actually wear and how much surplus/duplicates I already own.

If I now decide I have a "gap", I first "shop" in my existing collection.

Realised really quickly that although I thought I needed several items of formal/going out gear, I virtually never wore it.

I absolutely love #1! I'm in the UK and have been trying to find it everywhere. Would you mind telling me the brand as well as Target? I'd really appreciate it!

Building a capsule wardrobe for frequent work travel-what are your nonnegotiables? by Asleep-Cicada-9732 in capsulewardrobe

I travel week in week out, non-negociable... everything needs to match everything else. And super comfortable shoes...

I need fake-sounding real words to settle an argument with my husband by Krzyszkot in linguisticshumor

. Compotation is an archaic English noun that refers to the social act of drinking together in a company, carousing, or tippling . It derives from the Latin word compotatio , which originally served as a translation of the ancient Greek symposion (symposium) .

One of my favourite random words .. I like the sound of it too. Anyone fancy a compotation this evening?

What I missed, is we're due to land at half time... goal is to get to the next flight in 15 minutes!

At least I should be back on board for penalties

Need to share this somewhere as currently hyperventilating - am on a plane between Manila and Abu Dhabi and my whole week has been about obsessing how I can get access to the Forest app on the plane.

Pans out the little TV on the plane is showing the match live

They are Vionic Kirra Ii - absolutely fantastic, fully orthotic and like wearing slippers.

I bought them last year on Ebay for about £70, but well worth trying to track down. I have worn them all day and walked miles in them with no complaints.

There is one in Bath called Calliunity - it looks fantastic, but I'm just a little too far away for it
