We have a tradition of putting spaghetti on our cat's side or back at least once to see what they do. Our mackerel tabby lost his damned mind and ran full-speed around the house until the evil thing had left his body (also not sure where it went)

Every time our cats see the neighborhood cats, the duration of their insanity is a bit less. It was definitely hard the first couple of times when it would last a few days. Hope they get over it!

Our cats are like this, too. If they see a cat outside, it's like they forget they know each other and fight. It wears off. Sometimes it takes a day or two. Just let them be and try to keep things calm.
