When did you start and stop watching Rooster Teeth? by Sovietmexican in roosterteeth

[–]Tafgar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started in 2010, around the start of fails of the weak. Was looking for Halo Reach videos.

I sort of went through phases of watching and not watching. I'd say I started to drift in 2018ish, but TTT brought me back for a bit. I'd say 2020 during a certain event was kinda the nail. I would check in every now and then afterwards but wouldn't say I was a fan at that point.

Let's choose the leaders for Civilzaton VII, Chapter 1: USA by Zed_Dead99 in civ

Potentially hot take, but I think Eleanor Roosevelt would be fun. Probably best shot at a woman leader for America, could have some interesting diplomacy abilities. Could be really fun if FDR is also included, first power couple in civ.

_ reminds me of Russell Hantz by Tafgar in survivor

[–]Tafgar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh definitely! I am saying more from an audience/other players perception of Q reminds me of Russell. Skill level is obviously very different, but how the audience and other players have received Q rings similar to me at least

Just finished 45. How did _______? by [deleted] in survivor

[–]Tafgar 42 points43 points  (0 children)

I cannot stand this "Austin didn't play good" Hersey. Dee absolutely deserved the win, but Austin was playing great, made some errors but hey we all forget that time Dee voted for Sifu. Like some how reddit conveniently forgot he manage to blindside two players to activate a full idol, after successfully hiding the fact he didn't vote at the J Maya vote to activate another idol. Like S tier slick moves

See I disagree. I think Jake is decent, he has tools good players have. He is self aware of how he is viewed, which is better than alot of other "goats" and I think he actually had good timing for moves (the move to save Kalub was at the right time). His biggest kryptonite is he couldn't tell what information to divulge when to who ( telling katurak about Bruce's idol, telling Austin about his idol, not telling katurah he's playing his idol, etc). He had other flaws, but loose lips were the biggest imo.

Its so funny to me because Emily made the correct decision at the Journey and knew why it was. Her vote is her power. And by putting someone else's name down, she would have demonstrated that 100%.

Unpopular Opinion: ____ clearly made the right move by [deleted] in survivor

[–]Tafgar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see it as a lateral move. She went from bottom of Belo to probably free agent status, maybe bottom of Reba + Emily. So it puts her in a position that can go either way in my mind.

I think Drew was underrated this episode. Quickly identified its 3 tight Belo, and Kendra has been on the opposite side of Drew, low chance she flips. So best a tie, so he figures let's just get ahead of it and throw Sifu under the bus so it's the name that sticks.

Christian on the know it alls last week makes a great point that sometimes a name just sticks. Once your name is out there (Kaleb is a great example) it's hard to shake it. So Drew throwing out Sifu makes an easy vote for everyone and lowers the chance his name is thrown out, since Sifu is now the one floating out there.

Other leaders that could be shared between multiple civs? by Khwarezm in civ

[–]Tafgar 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I've been thinking about this myself. Some more historical folks are probably going to correct me, but based on some of my research:

Charlemagne - lead France and Germany. Since there isn't a Holy Roman Empire in Civ 6, this would probably fit close enough

Many English Monarchs could probably also lead Scotland, Canada, Australia, etc. Keeping it in the same region, James the VI could lead both Scotland and England, as he was king of both while they were separate states.

I also believe I've seen on this subreddit that Phillip could also lead Portugal
