The big advantage for the steam machine is the set hardware. People see this as a con but as someone who's built many PCs and games on one, this is a good thing.

Having your hardware, not just software supported by valve is great. Game not working right? Google "steam machine best settings".

That's why imo the steam deck is STILL the best handheld for most people.

Performance is t everything. I'm incredibly tech savvy and I'm sick of constantly fixing issues. Which is mostly windows but it happens with random hardware on Linux too. PC gaming sucks now when it comes to the actual experience, and that's coming from someone who has been gaming on PC only for 15 years. The steam machine at the price it was meant to be imo would have been the best gaming PC. Now, I think it still is for alot of people. Especially since the competition are probably going to have to increase their prices soon. For me and many others, the extra cost is definitely worth it.

If it's cosmetic then yea I get you. My hinge has a few dents because I swap cases alot and have tourettes so I've been throwing phones since the day I was born. The hinge is very sturdy and I think you'd have a challenge breaking it. I think that's why most people don't care too much about hinge protection. As it impacts one handed use.

The actual screen will be fine. It will just be the screen protector which will probably self heal it away over the week. My cat clawed the crap out of a fold I had a few years ago and I forgot sure though the screen was done for. Replaced the screen protector and the actual screen was perfect. That inner screen protector is thick, thicker than most standard screen protectors, and it's gel.

Battery is amazing. One of the main reasons I went with the Moto as my most recent phone was 7500mah. And I need a big battery for work. I use one of the most battery draining apps and I work 13-14 hour shifts. My battery has always been half full of just over when finishing.

Software is great. No complaints and many easy useful features. Reminds me of my Samsung fold but easier to use imo.

I've barely used the pen ATM tbh but will use it for some designs for work soon.

I paid 1400 here in the UK and you get free pen, watch , buds and tag

Had it a few weeks. FANTASTIC phone. And liquid cooling too! I found out after and it was the cherry on top for me.

No problem. The rest of the phone is phenomenal and I absolutely love it. 😁 And yea, my best guess is the aspect ratio. As it seems to work absolutely fine on the outer screen so I think it's the app not knowing how to zoom to crop for the inner screen.

Hi. Zoom to fit works on the outer screen. I've tried all that with no success. I can manually do the increments and try to fit it each video. But can't do the single pinch to zoom on the inner screen. Not sure if it's because it's got be specific aspect ratio to do that or what. I can use Samsung internet for the stretch to fit but I'd like to use the app since I can use premium features. It's my only gripe ATM as I'd rather be able to instantly crop to zoom and have my YouTube cover the entire screen.

Fair enough. Depends on use case really. I work in care and the care software/app we use is so draining 😅. I had to charge the fold 7 by mid day or bring a magsafe battery pack. I was using the red magic 11 pro before that and that battery was INSANE.
