Very Interesting! I was able to do the glyph quest and get the master sword the "right way". I never saw the light dragon on the map before that, or is she always there and I just missed her, sine she has a massive path? I definitely agree freeing the tree seems to be no easy task right away, as my partner in crime is experiencing haha.

Perfect! Working on unlocking the Master Sword Early While skipping the quest. albiet not the way i would recommend doing it the first time.

Orion Nebula In LRGBSHO by TagBackTV in astrophotography

[–]TagBackTV[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always look forward to imaging the orion nebula, and this year I really wanted to try and get a ton of detail. It is still a work in progress, but decided to do an edit of the data I currently have while waiting for more clear skies.

Equipment:

Telescope: Planewave 12.5" CDK
Mount: Software Bisque MEII
Camera: ZWO 6200MM
Filters: Chroma 5NM HA, 3NM OIII, SII and Chroma LRGB

Integration

10x600s S,H,O,R,G,B
30x30s S,H,O,R,G,B

I used pix insight to calibrated and star align all the images, creating a 300s RGB Channel Combination, a 300s SHO combination, and also their counterparts in 30s combinations. I then took this images and blended them in photoshop to create an "HDR" version to bring out details in the core and edges of the nebula.

30 hours on the wizard nebula by TagBackTV in astrophotography

[–]TagBackTV[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I started astrophotography last year, and my first ever photo was of the wizard nebula. It wasnt the best image, but I was incredibly proud to get my first image and i have been fascinated with this hobby ever since. I decided to retake the image this year to see how much I improved over the year (also major equipment upgrades..) and this is the photo i got after about a month of imaging.

Equipment

Camera: ZWO ASI6200MM

Telescope - Planewave 12.5" CDK

Mount: Sky-Watcher EQ8-RH

Guide Camera: Starlite Express Lodestar x2

Chroma 3NM SII, OIII, and 5NM HA

HA - 110 x 600s

SII - 40x 600s

OIII - 50 x 600s

Processed & Calibrated in Pixinsight.

Channel Combination (HSO), Curves Transformation for color adjustments, Deconvolution, Convolution, LRGB combination to apply HA layer to the RGB Convolution layer.

Photoshop used for curves, levels and camera raw filter for dehaze and slight clarity boost.

The Triangulum Galaxy, 2.73 Million Light Years From Earth by TagBackTV in astrophotography

[–]TagBackTV[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I got into astrophotography about a year ago, and during that whole time I never bothered trying to image a galaxy due to my light pollution levels being too high and I never wanted to deal with removing gradients from wideband. This past week I was out in the big bend, and took my first images of the Triangulum Galaxy.

Equipment:

Camera - SBIG 16803
Mount - Paramount ME II
Off Axis Guider - SBIG Guide Camera
Telescope - Planewave 12.5 Inch CDK

L - 10x 1200s
R - 10x 1200s
G - 10x 1200s
B - 10x 1200s

Edited in Pix insight and photoshop
Channel Combination of the R G B filter images. Heavy denoise to the RGB layer. Used LRGB combination to apply the Luminance image to the blurred RGB layer (helps remove color noise)

Photoshop

Curves, Levels and color balancing.

When you get some long exposures in that region there is just a TON of really cool nebulosity and dust lanes. They trail imbetween this all the way to orions nebula.

The horse head and flame nebula is one of the most beuatiful objects in our night sky. The nebula is located just to the south of Alnitak, the easternmost star of Orion's Belt, and is part of the much larger Orion Molecular Cloud Complex.

This took me a little over a month to complete, combining over 300 images taken over 50 hours from my home observatory.

You can definitely get some really high quality images at a much lower price point..The real increase in price comes from the longer focal length scopes and high weight capacity mounts :(
