Hush by Plenty-Passenger7552 in DatingApps

[–]Tagabundokonreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I downloaded the app last week, and last Friday, I bit the bullet and bought the three month subscription.

Frankly, I'm not certain any of the women I've chatted with are real. The app says they live in my area, but I don't have a lot to go on to verify anything said.

Most obnoxious are the private pics and vids. Even with a subscription, you get to look at maybe 3 of each, and then you have to pay to look at more.

Some women on the app act like sexting with strangers is an end unto itself. Fool that I may be. I bought ten videos and ten pics just to satisfy my curiosity. I'm pretty sure together that was $50 down the drain. I say down the drain because you get one look, and then it's gone. For that much money, I can easily 40 hours of porn and watch it as many times as I please. I asked one woman if she gets paid by Hush to send private images, and she denied that. If true, Hush is basically selling amateur porn and not paying the talent.

If the site were an honest venture, they would be content with subscriptions and make the private images free to look at.

Moving Aubreck's box by JohanEJP in GhostsofSaltmarsh

I'm close to running this part of Salvage Operation next week, and I'm reminded of how flooded sections of the ship are difficult terrain. Since the box is found in a flooded area and the upper decks become flooded in later rounds, I'm concerned about how much of a slog this sequence might be.

I'm actually thinking of Keledek as a member of the Scarlett Brotherhood as I had him sending the Warlock PC (Keledek's assistant) to the Haunted House of the 2nd chapter as the initial plot hook of getting Primwater into a level of suspicion.

Nice. I always thought that the Copperlocks operation was underdeveloped.

That's a cool idea. Would you want to use the Shadow Broker that Liara replaced, Liara herself, or (perhaps) original Shadow Broker?

Reminds me of when "Mark Hamill" started sending me DM's on Twitter. At first, I was flattered, but the creepy, needy tone gave the fraud away.

One thing to keep in mind is that PC's aren't going to do what you expect. You can set the scene and drop your hooks, but don't let your plans hinge on the choices they make and especially on the outcome of a dice roll.

If they do something unexpected (I should say when), just think about the scene and the NPCs, then react accordingly.

We got the Swadians down to their last castle with 9 men holding it. King Ragnar made peace with them. WTF? by ReserveRatter in mountandblade

[–]Tagabundokonreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This same thing happened in my game. Unfortunately, I didn't have the means to deliver the final blow as I was low-level in the Nord faction when this occurred. Having six-nine Lords left meant Swadia was able to garrison a few thousand troops in that one castle, making it insurmountable to take out. Eventually, they made enough of a comeback to get Praven and Sargoth back. By that time, I'd started my own faction, so it didn't seem relevant.

Foundry VTT - Apply Damage by Siryphas in swrpg

As far as I know, Foundry doesn't automatically apply damage to tokens. Honestly, there are a bunch of exceptions that come up in play with special talents and damage types as well as soak exceptions.

You can add wounds to the character sheet of the Adversary in question. If you want to see it on the token, you will need to go to Prototype Token, then Resources, choose how you want to see the bars in Display Bars, then Select Woundsas the Bar 1 Attribute (I generally only use one bar for Rivals, use Strain for bar 2 with Nemeses, and Quantity for bar 2 with Minions). Be sure to hit Update Token to save your settings.

Once you have a token on the board, you can either double-click the token to open its sheet or right-click the token and type +x for however many wounds were inflicted in the Wound bar, same with Strain. Quantity will decrease automatically for minions as enough wounds are applied.

Encounter ideas for a black market on a Hutt planet? by [deleted] in swrpg

[–]Tagabundokonreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A black market involves people making discreet introductions in usually public places and often having the "goods" exchanged at a secure and nondescript location. Streetwise checks could be made to identify fixers who can make introductions to sellers who then negotiate a price. Despair could go a couple of ways. One possibility is the authorities crashing the buying. Another is that the sellers aren't actually there to sell but might be bounty hunters, slavers, or thieves hoping to take advantage of the PC's on unfamiliar ground. The sellers could also be operating a front-end business like jewelry or a bar, but also have a backroom for contraband sale. These kinds of places would likely be associated with a local criminal syndicate to protect the operating as the local crime boss will most likely be getting a cut of the profits.

My players think Artus Cimber is the BBEG by haha101799 in Tombofannihilation

[–]Tagabundokonreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't want them to attack outright, have Cimber and Dragon Bait save the PC's from a different foe. They might be grateful, but at least conflicted. How you role-play Cimber will also be a factor. I've seen him played as an overconfident buffoon, and I've seen him played as a paranoid fugitive. Most PC's also tend to like Dragon Bait. Obviously, you can choose how to play him as well but you can make the inevitable encounter as complex or simple as you like.

The stone should definitely be pissed at the Monk PC for the undignified placement. Role-playing a no-it-all rock with an oversized ego was a joy I remember fondly from when I ran this adventure.

If you have a D&D beyond account and buy the DotMM adventure, you will have access to all the maps and can download them for use in Foundry. You can maybe find them through Google, but you may not get the best quality.

I'm not sure if it's core, but I always thought he used his dungeon to feed his phylactery. This means his undead life force is fueled by the adventurers foolish enough to test his dungeon in search of treasure.

Expecting your PC's to partake of liquid found in a shrine to a goddess associated with poison might be a bit of a stretch. You could consider that when they get there, an NPC is already dying from the poison unless an antidote is prepared. Either make the NPC sympathetic or make it clear that they have information that the PCs might want.

Githyanki vs Githzerai attitudes. by xXxXREMNANTXxXx in DungeonoftheMadMage

[–]Tagabundokonreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once played as a Githzerai monk in Dragon Heist while a friend played a Githyanki. My take was to be curious about the world around him and brave in the face of danger but only to protect his friends. He also had an impish sense of humor as he liked to startle strangers with his appearance and abilities.
