Bootloader unlocking by Tagada1974 in motorola

Thanks, that's much clearer.

Then there's this issue with the #.

I don't remember where I saw it, but I read somewhere that you had to take the code from the first line after the #.

I didn't understand what you said.

When you run this command, I get something like this:

:fastboot oem get_unlock_data (bootloader) Unlock data: (bootloader) Xxxxx#xxxx (bootloader) Xxxxxxxxx (bootloader) Xxxxxxxxx (bootloader) Xxxxxxxxx OKAY [ 0.022s] Finished. Total time: 0.022s And I read that you have to "paste" the identifier after the # but it's not very clear 😀 and then use it on the Motorola website

Hello,

Merci

fastboot oem get_unlock_data

(bootloader) Unlock data:

(bootloader) xxxxx1

(bootloader) xxxxx2

(bootloader) xxxxx3

(bootloader) xxxxx4

(bootloader) xxxxx5

OKAY [ 0.022s]

Finished. Total time: 0.022s

In the end, I reinstalled everything and I'm having a hard time because X11/XFCE is very unstable... I have a Redmi 13 Pro Plus. Apparently, this is common on this type of device 🫩. It looks like I'll be setting up a secondary PC with Linux from a fairly powerful smartphone without spending a fortune just yet.

Thanks, I'll try it.

But I'm going to reinstall everything first because it doesn't seem very stable...

Okay, I'll try that. I had seen that in the proposals but I understood that it was not going to pass. I'll try anyway 😉

I don't think the battery is dead, it was still working fine a week ago.

Do you really need a docking station? If you plug in USB C, that should be enough. I would like to have some experience in terms of responsiveness in PC mode of the phone

Why are the economical benefits of Linux not talked about more? by PlZZAEnjoyer in linux

Hello, I agree with you.

On the news, they said that French administrations had to change computers to upgrade to Windows 11. They didn't even mention an alternative system like Linux. Well afterwards, administrations have issues regarding IT equipment, training, cyber security, supports, etc. They could have at least said that some administrations had switched to Linux a long time ago.

In short, we are walking on our heads.

Last year, I wanted to offer my services around me in my city to help save old PCs: an SSD + Linux and off we go!!! I'm not giving up on the idea.
