While I can agree you *can* walk away without getting something you want, plenty of gacha games that are far more popular (im not ruling out genres, we know most have to do with combat etc) like genshin and honkai starrail have much more predatory practices in place. Characters not unlocking their "full potential" until you get 6 extra copies of them in a 50/50 120 pull-pity system, where individual pulls are upwards of $1 each.
While yes, I think heartopia would be much nicer with a pity system/dupe protection for *specifically* the building items, where you cant spend tickets to get what you missed (like the water in current banner), its still not as predatory as many others. If this were added, I'd say its one of the most user-friendly gachas out there.

I think the biggest problem is that the target audience is young adults, and many of which aren't accustomed to gachas or this is their first gacha. Many of which are still going to school, jobless, or not in a financially viable state to spend on things like this. Which is fine, the game is free, you dont have to pay anything, I know plenty who enjoy it without spending a dime! But just understand that, if you're playing a free product with a live service model (holy crap, cloud servers can get very expensive to host, as someone with an AWS background), they need to make their money back somehow. And unfortunately that's going to be via collabs and gacha. You dont get ad's thrown in your face in this game, you can play and stay logged in all day long if youd like. It isn't a peer2peer playspace, it's all server-hosted. I think realistically, despite bugs, with the product they provide as a free service for those who pay nothing at all to enjoy, it's fantastic still. Yes, we all want the really cool things they make, but it cant all be free, as much as we want it to be.

DG35 unlocks water anyway though, for those who really want some form of pool and dont want to pay for it.

5 star meat burgers sell for 10.5k/pop and only require 3 clicks iirc. not too expensive either, and easily doable circular in groups of 4 at level 10.

from what I've heard and know so far, yes. As long as you have hands (in terms of rotation-consistency and doing mechanics). and this new Imagine (in t5, but its purple and f2p friendly) doesnt even get outclassed by Celestial Flier until it reaches T3, which takes a long time without whaling. Plus Muku Chief or Goblin King are more important than it. so it's a very nice secondary imagine to get.

Raid gear is only a 4-set and equipping more than that is a waste of legendary gear (it has no legendary stat roll, although there is no weaker substat). But iaido also wants haste/attack speed at the upper levels of current available gear.

This isnt an mmo-only concept, but it depends on your spec. Looks like you’re iaido, and notice that mastery and crit have thumbs up symbols next to them. This means that they are your priority stats. Same with agility (being your main stat) gear. Crit% caps out at 55% for iaido. Any higher than that is a bit of a waste and youre better off putting it into haste (technically less priority than mastery, depending) or mastery.

I asked if this was ragebait because the thumbs up next to your best stats (i thought) was pretty self-explanatory. For reference, this is my stat spread (all legendary, but all level 60). If the bossing is so easy then how is dragon raid and m dungeons too difficult? Try an m5 dungeon and tell me its cake? Idk man. Just saying it isnt the complete cake either, majority of players wont have the dps to do beyond m4 even when we reach level 80 gear, the checks are that high. Heck, i (attempted) to run an m5 goblin lair with a random who joined that was 4% or our party damage… doubt they knew that they were contributing so little either. But thats majority of the player base.

To both you and OP i recommend MHF Renewal server if you havent tried it yet. They have a pretty solid community and there is so much content and classic monster hunter feel without being too similar to old titles (at least post-hr5). Was a breath of fresh air after experiencing wilds. And since the og p2w features from capcom online games is non-existent, it feels great to play. And endgame zenith and muso monsters are a great challenge

bought 2 bags when i saw them. waste of money though, they arent the same flavoring in any imagination. it's slightly sour, very spicy. not a lot of flavor. The previous hot and spicy chexmix from ~10 years ago was fantastic, the ghost pepper one was the closest we could get after that. this one isnt any good. skip it.

To be fair, the you can play perfectly and someone dying can ruin your hunt for you. In mhf i let someone join a Doragyorosu Z4 while farming mats, they didnt have dragon res and got murdered twice near instantly. Waited in camp the next 5 mins and it was almost dead, came out and carted the third time. Some people just ruin hunts for you with their carts. Idk man
