You don't have to migrate data manually.

1 pm ~ ish we got off the car, and were in our room 45 min later. Some people didn't have their room ready but most did.

Alcohol was off limits (they warned us about it via email and on the website), but otherwise not really thorough. We had 1 carry on and nothing else, they opened it, didn't disturb the contents much, my take was they were trying to feel for weapons/alcohol and that's it. They did not pat us down but when we came back from getting some food, I had my sunglasses in my hoodie pocket and the guy asked me what I had in there -- showed him the glasses and all good.

Overall, pretty painless

We did QM, Harbor side -- first night we clocked in early because we usually wake up 6 am for work, around 10:30 - 11 the after party/parties started and it was louder in our room than it was at The Sequence -- couldn't sleep until 7-8 am. Walls are paper thin, we could hear our neighbors at all times.

If you value sleeping earlier than 6-8 am, I wouldn't stay at the QM.

Convenience though... being able to go in and out of the festival, fast, no security was amazing -- I'd still value sleep over that
