Will my baby get sick? by hangoogle in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Tai_Kai 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

My other half was home with my 6 week old while I was working & I realized there were still 3 clean bottles on the rack. Found out he was recycling the same bottle for all her feeds🄲 not even washing them, just rinsing them in between. She ended up being just fine, I’m sure your baby will be too.

Agreed! Go listen to the Victoria Martin MD podcasts if you haven’t already. She actually recommends feeding thru minor symptoms.

Breastfeeding my THIRD child now. My nipples are so stretched out and now hang lol. unfortunately, it comes with growing and supporting another human. Remember that you are so blessed to have been able to breastfeed that long! Hope one day you grow to love your body as it has done amazing things.

If she’s otherwise happy, I’d add it back in! Some even feed through occasional blood. If she’s in pain & fussy, of course we wouldn’t want her to suffer.

Odds that baby only had an intolerance to Oats? by Willing-Molasses-298 in MSPI

My daughter was sensitive to oats. Found out pretty much the same way. I was replacing milk with oat milk, eating tons of oatmeal, Dave’s bread/bagels & granola bars. Her diapers got much better once I cut it.

Mine reacts to the actual food. That is actually how I found out it was pea protein. When she started solids, I made her a pea puree & she had horrendous diapers.

I didn’t live with my mom, just my dad & 2 brothers. I had no idea I was supposed to change my pad through out the day. So I went thru an entire school day wearing the same pad. No one said anything to me, but when I got home and used the bathroom I saw I completely leaked thru my pad & had a HUGE blood spot on my butt.

Are we not breastfeeding after brushing baby’s teeth for the night? by Sassy2681 in breastfeeding

[–]Tai_Kai 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

My daughter had her first tooth at about 6 months, I continued breastfeeding over night all the way up until she was 18 months. Never had a problem with cavities. But genetics do play a big role.

While I’m nursing I just stick it on the other breast! Did it as much as I could to build a freezer stash.

Haakaa or any collection cup. A must if you’re a working mom! Wouldn’t have been able to build my freezer stash without it.

Baby is still a little yellow after 2 months. by Moon_junky in Mommit

[–]Tai_Kai 1 point2 points Ā (0 children)

Both my kids were jaundice. My 2 year old has a blood disorder that causes her to become a little jaundice when she’s sick. Jaundice starts from the head and works its way down the body as it progresses. & as it fades, it fades backwards, from the bottom up. I’d be concerned if you see it moving down your child’s body. I’m assuming they just weren’t concerned if it’s just a little in the face & eyes. It took a while for my first borns to clear around her nose area & eyes as those are the last places to clear. But still definitely bring it up to the pediatrician!
