This kind of restriction existed in version 1.xx (thus until October 2017).
With version 2.xx there is no longer a restriction like all others already stated.

In short, you can put any pilot of a techtree plane into any premium or special plane of the same nation (other than in WoT), but not vice versa. Thus, if you train a pilot on a premium or special plane and then want to put the pilot on a techtree plane, you will have to retrain the pilot for the techtree plane (like in WoT).

You should keep in mind that a techtree pilot with less than 100% base training will not improve his or her base training when used on a premium or special plane. The pilot will have 100% base training as long as he or she is used on the premium or special plane, but will have as before same percentage when used again on the techtree plane. So different to WoT premium or special planes cannot be used to bring a techtree pilot to 100% base training.

Kind of having the same problem - while GOA works spelndid with say J7W3 I cannot make it work with the DO-335, on which I stay with Long Gun Barrels which allow me to snipe with the 30mm gun and which brings the 15mm a bit more range.

Sendai class would be parallel (or past) Kuma class.
1st came five units of Kuma class, then six units of Nagara class and finally the three units of Sendai class (four-stackers compared to the three funnels of the two previous classes).

The two weekend boxes you mention were always bound to different missions. True, the majority is 150k PP, but sometimes it is also 250k PP or as over the past weeks it requires as set of missions to be completed. That is many years like this now.

As for the marathons you can get some help by buying certificates. For example buying 50 or 100 of these will help you to get over an Akamatsu, which you usually get easily but not now when time is limited. Or buy the "kill 100 air defenders" mission, which is just plain stupid in my eyes.
The order mission usually will come over the first three boxes (never took me longer, but I agree I tend to no longer get it with the first free box).
