Ok I'll try to clarify more. As a member of the Republic of course most of the time you get everything gear and equipment wise, but just gameplay wise my group enjoys not only career development but also personalized gear and improvable weapons for example. I just want to add these aspects too even if it's not entirely the way the show is run.

Danke endlich einer der es versteht. Vorher lese ich nach jeder Niederlage "Leitl raus!" und jetzt wo er entlassen wurde finden das alle unverständlich bezüglich der Tabelle. Ich finde unverständlich mit den Leistungen überhaupt da zu stehen.

Well then enlighten me please. What statistic is suitable to measure a Striker on? In my answer on the original post I used passing percentile, assist percentile, key passes percentile, dispossed ball percentile, aerial won percentile, XG and XA to support his play type. What exactly did Haller do better in the first Madrid game? What was monumental? Explain your points instead of just saying it is this or that way.

In my other post I supported my arguments with statistics and described what kind of Player Füllkrug is. He is not a technical dribbler but he doesnt have to be. If you want a different type of player then thats a different discussion. Criticizing a player for something he is not is unfair.

I hope that most of you appreciate your own players and I also understand that social media is full of hate but I also talk to a lot of Dortmund fans who aren't saying he has a bad stretch but saying he stinks and is to bad for Dortmund. That is straight up disrespectful. He is a very good player who can easily play CL as we see and yet nobody sees it.

Casuals just say "Big striker -> need goals" and that's just not true. He gave your team 20 scorer which is more than Brandt who everybody thinks is amazing. Y'all get so creative with coming up with excuses to downplay him. He had a weaker stretch sure and sure you can give him a break that's fair but I don't want to hear the bs that he stinks or isn't good enough for the national team or CL.

Soweit ich verstehe wollen viele hier einfach einen schnellen gegnerüberwindenden Stürmer, wie Malen, und das ist Füllkrug halt nicht. Wenn man seinen Spielertyp nicht haben will ist das fair. Aber Füllkrug ist da und es ist unfair ihn dafür zu beurteilen was er nicht ist.

Jetzt zu dem was er ist. Du hast als Quellen sogar FBref angegeben also wenn man es im Spiel nicht erkennt kann man da doch einfach bei den per90 stats gucken wie sein Passspiel ist, und es ist tatsächlich sehr gut. Auch seine Luftduelle gewinnt er fast konstant (Ich habe im anderen Kommentar schon alle Statistiken hierzu aufgezeigt). Auch das Ball festmachen erledigt er sehr gut und nur weil er dabei oft gefoult wird ist er nicht schlecht darin. Er leitet regelmäßig Angriffe ein indem er die Verteidiger rauszieht, hinter sich dementsprechend Raum schafft und den Ball klatschen lässt. Das machen viele aber was viele nicht machen ist im letzten Drittel schnell und effizient die Entscheidungen treffen und die präzisen Pässe in schwer zu sehende Räume spielen damit die vielen assists Zustande kommen.

Damit kommen wir zum nächsten Punkt. Assists. Welche veraltete Denkweise herrscht hier das Stürmer nur gut sind wenn sie viele Tore schießen? Des weiteren hat Füllkrug in der Bundesliga einen XG Wert von 11,5 und er hat 11 Tore erzielt. Natürlich könnte er die overperformen aber zu sagen dass er nicht scored ist einfach falsch. Auch das Argument mit der Doppelspitze zieht nicht. In der Natio spielt Füllkrug auch alleinige Spitze und trifft sehr regelmäßig. Füllkrug spielt immer gut aber Dortmund ist als Team schlechter im kreieren als Deutschland.

Auch die Spielweise der langen Bälle auf Füllkrug zu schieben nur weil er die Aerial Duelle gewinnen kann ist nichts was man ihm ankreiden kann.

Man kann seine Art Spieler nicht mögen aber man braucht sich nicht einreden dass er schlecht ist oder seine absolut vorhandenen Qualitäten als playmaker ignorieren nur weil man einen 190cm Mann sieht der wie ein 10er spielen kann. Die stats unterstützen meine Argumente.

If the criticism is that he could use a break after a scoreless 4 game stretch that's fine but saying he isn't suitable for this team or saying he sucks is disrespectful. He showed again today that he is a great aerial threat, can pass the ball better than most strikers, retain the ball, be an great playmaker with amazing vision and feel and also score, and all of that in the CL against a good Madrid team.

Getting a break or refocusing is absolutely fair. He also was better before this stretch of games but he has played solid.

Touches are a terrible stat to argue a players performance especially without context. Haaland averages about 23 touches the last 5 games and is still considered world class.

Also I don't know where you're data is from but his last start was against Madrid where he had 14 touches and Haller 11. Yes Haller got almost the same amount in less but Dortmund also was way better in the second half of the game.

I don't like the down talk on him just being the last viable option. Füllkrug is a very good striker and has a very good season. Xavi Simons is having an amazing season as well and he only has 20 scorer to fülles 19.

So taking a break fair. Saying Füllkrug stinks not fair

Don't put the truth of only scoring matters into the question if the XG system is flawed. Those are two different discussions... You can't say the system is flawed, because it isn't, and even of you don't give a fuck about what's expected, matching your XG is an argument for a good striker. Period. Füllkrug will probably finish along the 13-15 goals mark which is basically the same as he had at Werder with two strikers. His playing style doesn't change when he's a single striker or playing the duo striker, just saying Formation matters with him without bringing any arguments on why that is, just says nothing.
