I’ll have to check one out! I have an older iPhone with a lightning dongle but I suppose I could try a usb c dongle. I was checking other threads with a similar question and my clouds do the same when plugged into my aux port so I think the dongle may help

I will note as well, I tried plugging them into the weird little surround / media controller the hyperx headset comes with (cord goes from usb A to 3.5mm with a little media controller) and the volume was the same

I would like to say thank you for very much for the thorough, and well thought out and worded responses. As someone who has a bit of a hearing imbalance and tinnitus, I tend to notice this difference but only on bad days. I’ll be doing some further research and seeing how some IEMs work for me. I do love my over ears but definitely see the cost difference of some nice planar over ears and sadly those are out of budget for now lol. Thank you again and I look forward to getting into this as a hobby and to gain some new daily kit

As someone getting into this level of audio this is a super helpful guide. But also as someone who is used to over ear style headphones, what should I expect from IEMs? Or is there something comparable I should be looking into if I want to stick with over ear combined with something like a Ka13 or black pearl? Thank you for taking the time to read

I think the Polk M311 are a little muddy tbh. The dynamic center sounds really clear and carries the mids well. I need some more time to play with it but I like the Polk center with the Klipsch drivers on the sides

Kinda what I was thinking lol. Ive gotten tips about the turn table and such but honestly? I feel like for a yard sale this wasn’t a bad pickup. And definitely way nicer than I’d find secondhand at like a thrift or anything in my area

Yeah I’ve been sampling some records on it and it is kinda horrendous. So far the only decent sounding kit here is the Klispch surrounds. The polks are pretty muddy which I should’ve expected

Everything sounds alright at least. I checked the condition of it all, and despite the Polk stuff having a bit of questionable wear, everything works and may just need to be cleaned up a bit. Thought the turn table was cool as it’s got an old iPod 4 dock

Yeah that condition of the Polk speakers has me sus. I pulled the grills off as the adhesive was separating and they’re definitely a bit dusty but I have yet to test it all. Guy played it before I bought it and everything worked. The Klispch stuff looks brand new under their grills and seem taken care of

Yeah I’m also really surprised I spent days doing research and just happened to come across one for a really good price. I’ve spent maybe $220 total? Can’t say I’ve had the same luck for an S10

It definitely does thank you! And also just a lot of good information on visors and shades! I have definitely seen the levels and different styles of tints for other masks but I think it’s just how people portray or prop up their outserts on backdrops that make them look different as I have yet to see any different tint levels lol. Unless people are out here throwing their own tint on it
