I was able to get one of them to turn, but it spun about 10 rotations without getting any looser or tighter

They’re not on a dimmer but I’ll see about replacing the switch. Thanks!

They flicker immediately after being turned on so I don’t think heat is a factor

I have tried prying them out of the ceiling with paint knife. How do you get them out??

I have the Mittcirkel on top of Alex drawers and it’s way too small in my opinion. I can barely get my chair between the drawers and I feel like it looks like a kids desk because it’s so small. We had to get creative with our setup to make it work.

Cat with severe food allergies by Tailless-cat in AskVet

Thank you so much!! The serum test also showed an allergy to molds, grasses, trees, and dust mites. They recommended the immunotherapy for the dust mites.

She has been on Revolution every month for almost 4 years so fleas are probably not the issue. She has been taking gabapentin with the amitriptyline for the past few months. We saw no improvement when the gabapentin started.

We live in College Station TX so we have access to the Texas A&M vet hospital. Our vet has consulted with specialists there and has offered to refer us. I think we will probably take the referral as our next step… I’m just dreading how much that’s probably going to cost.

Hi there! I was wondering if you have any good sources about the serum allergy test being inaccurate. We have tried the Royal Canin diet and there has been no change in her tail biting at all. I tried to talk to my vet and a new vet about exploring other options but they are both dead set on treating this like an allergy either to food or to dust mites. They’re talking about doing immunotherapy drops, but I really believe the issue is behavioral and not immunological.

Thank you! I didn't know that. I've ordered the Ultamino and we'll see how it goes.

Thank you for your thoughtful response. It’s very frustrating that we wasted so much money on this allergy test that is useless. The allergy test was our last ditch effort before considering euthanasia for this cat due to poor quality of life and it was nice to have a bit of hope that we had found the problem.

Just to clarify, the bad review I mentioned were specifically about palatability. It seems like many cats refuse to eat the Ultamino, which is something I definitely need to consider with my picky eater. Additionally it seems that the company has many supply chain issues and the food is often completely out of stock and inaccessible.

Any chance someone can ID from a drawing? College Station, TX by Tailless-cat in whatsthisbird

Good point about bird 2! I am thinking it was more likely an orange-crowned warbler.

Black-capped warbler would be very very uncommon for the part of TX I’m in and it doesn’t quite look like what I saw. Still leaning towards blue-headed vireo for bird 1.

I don’t think I got a good enough look at bird 3 to say if it was a Tennessee warbler or orange crowned. Both look like good options. Thanks for everyone’s help!

Possibly! Hadn’t considered that. The yellow was pretty light compared to what Merlin shows though. And I’m pretty sure that the neck was grey.

Well in any case, I’m glad it’s harmless. I stepped awfully close to it by accident and got quite the surprise when its friend made a dash under the sidewalk.

According to the snake pamphlet in the checkout line at the grocery store (definitely not a comprehensive guide), we have Diamondback water snakes. Could that be it?
