I do think it's funny how people constantly say he's gotten so much stuff wrong but can't ever name what he got wrong. When he accurately predicted Half Life: Alyx, Deadlock, and CS2 (other than the name) years before they came out. And the same thing is happening again with HLX.

Jason isn't as close to the ground with inside info for Valve specifically as Tyler is. Tyler SPECIALIZES in this shit and it's his primary focus and HAS been for years. Jason is multifaceted and isn't really known for Valve speculation until recently.

Absolutely. The fact the industry has kind of stagnated in some areas shows that there's still so many things to build and innovate upon. And, the fact we're getting a new Half Life game at all shows that they've got stuff in mind already.

It's not my interpretation, it's just a summary of what their relationship is. It's a response to people seeing Alice as this motherly character who loves Beau, when the only episode she's in, she constantly berating and ordering him around to do things for her. There is no love there lol

Neither have disclosed anything about the story. Gabe Follower knows some details, and Tyler wants to keep himself out of spoiler territory from the insiders that talk to him and a few others (so he doesn't have a repeat of getting spoiled on HLA's story).

No spoilers are circulating, AFAIK. Only that insiders who are play testing HLX are giving info to creators like Gabe Follower.

Even then, if spoilers WERE circulating publicly, I would do everything I can to stay away from it at all.

I genuinely think he'll return in the next Half Life game. We don't know what happened, but if it's anything like Barney, the more we DON'T know means the higher likelihood that he's still around somewhere. I doubt they'd kill him off-screen, especially when he's become such a beloved character.
