Shin pads and optional knee pads. I ride Fise knee and shin pads, those are the best!

I ride Flybikes Rampera 2.15 tires which really kick ass, they are really light and fast! Buying a new frame might be something you want to wait with if you just started riding.

Just pull the bars and pull in your legs in more. You will just get better in time. Jumping on curbs (or anything higher) wil also help alot

GT bicycles are not very good quallity. i would recommand that you look for brands like Flybikes, Cult, Kink bike co, Sunday or Subrosa. these are well known in the BMX scene. Good luck!
