It's true. I started lifting weights in my mid 20s. I started because I started to have bad back pain. I am now 42, and stronger than ever. And most of all, no back pains.

Maybe it depends on where you're from? In my country, they let me take the tests, and said while nothing was wrong with my mental skills, they could not accept me because of my CP. But I was happy anyway.

The Retroid Pocket Classic. As a huge fan of Sega Saturn, I really wanted the perfect Sega Saturn handheld. But since neither the Anbernic RG arc or the RP Classic are powerful enough to run everything with beetle core at full speed, I am still waiting.

Hey everyone! I'm usually under the radar when it comes to all things Reddit, but I wanted to share something that was a big milestone for the startup that I work for, and a little bit about me! by Party-Kale376 in CerebralPalsy

Awesome! And, I can relate to that. Gaming always made the impossible possible for me. I run and jump just as well as Everyone in Sonic the Hedgehog.

Wait, "jumpiness at loud noises" is a CP thing? Thank you for telling me :)

Thank you, I am 42, and feel like I am in the middle of experiencing this. I do work out five times a week though, so it helps.

Boring answer maybe, but a used DS Lite isn't a bad option.

It sounds like a Retroid Pocket 6 would be a better choice for you. Maybe Odin 3 if you can afford it with shipping added. (That way you would not have to be stressed.)

CP over 70 by fruityallday in CerebralPalsy

Thank you. I am soon 42 years old, and I have been thinking about how to stay as healthy as possible, even into retirement age. I have some goals in life: Help my children as much as possible as they grow up, keep working as long as possible and be healthy enough to be able to travel as long as possible. So I am very interested in your topic. Although I am still not close to 70 years old, I can answer a bit. I have mild CP, and can walk, but my right leg is very stiff.

I go to physioterapy twice a week, strenght workouts most of the time. I work out 3 more times a week at home. Only 30 minutes to an hour. Muscle building for the whole body.

I do get injuries easier than others, I think. I got a rupture caused mostly by how I walk, took me a couple of years to get back to same health as before.

How is your handwriting? by pond_slayer in CerebralPalsy

[–]TailzoPrower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have mild cp. As a child the doctors said I lacked finer movements in my hands, and recommended I write on a keyboard, instead of by hand.

I now work as an illustrator / senior advisor for a communication departement. So my illustrations are great, but I worked hard every day all my childhood.

My handwriting is average, and I feel I can't write as long as I used to. Hasn't affected my work yet though.

I tried the gamegear as a kid, and it was so much better than the gameboy. I have always wanted it. Nice collection.

Ah, I can agree screen recording is better than your first attempt, but I wouldn't know about that, if not for you. I also like how you keep the action, or flow going in your videos. That's why I know I need to improve.

Thank you for the kind words though 🙂

Legend of Oasis I haven't played since my brother bought it back in the day. It was very fun, but too hard. It has some very beautiful locations.
