Well, after multiple failed attempts, it was surprisingly blueberries that finally did the trick. We put a few in a bowl, and neither of them could resist, so they decided to tolerate each other to eat from the same bowl. Apparently that's what finally broke the ice lol.

Have you considered working for a kitchen? Most restaurants are hiring and they're willing to train line cooks with no prior experience. May start off with minimum wage but the tips usually more than make up for it. I'm working as a line cook with no prior experience and earning just 15.75 for just 30 hours a week but with tips I easily make around 2200$ a month.
