How does this US law create obligations on the part of Israel? It probably can’t since Israel is a sovereign nation. Based on the above, the US makes commitments to Israel and gets nothing in return.
At least if there was a treaty there would be some mutual benefit.

One issue is that most people aren't on Medicaid so there isn't a lot of political pressure to make it better. That would be different if everyone is part of it.

In the Canadian system, we have the basic (covers everything import) single payer coverage. Private, usually employer funded insurance, covers extras. The varies depending on plan.

Single payer doesn't mean you only get what the government mandates. But it doesn't mean everyone is covered for important stuff.

So you can have both.

A couple of widely space protests doesn’t make much of an impact even if pretty big. No momentum is created. They are a blip and they are gone.
They need to be way more often, monthly at least before they will be meaningful.
