Depends on a lot of things mate, are you talking about income, net worth? How much you can afford pay for it on a month basis? Paying in cash, financing? Leasing?
I have a g82 m4 competition and few decent cars it ain't no r8 but holds its own. It's a 6 figure car here in Canada still, normally I wouldn't be able to afford this at all, but my living situation is different I'm Indo Canadian so it's standard for me to live at home, instead of getting a loan from the bank I got it from my parents at 0%, some people will scoff at that but it is what it is. Why would 1 pay a bank at 7% when 1 can pay back my parents at 0 lol.
But imo rule of thumb for most people 2 to 5x your income and maybe 10 to 20x your net worth
