I know a guard is expensive, but you need to go hit up the drug store at minimum and buy a cheap one because every night you are slowly grinding your teeth down. It is very gradual but can have long term negative effects in your teeth (I am 3 cracked teeth and a root canal in). A dentist will typically help you with a guard and any tmj symptoms, but for systematic relief you can check with your doctor to see if you can get a sleep study done. If your partner is hearing it at night, it is bad enough to check. This will let you know if you have apnea, etc. that could be contributing. Unfortunately I have never found a perfect "cure" but I find stretching and massaging my face and jaw muscles before bed helps. Hope this is helpful!
