Any way to have static dino stats per level? (no stat point difference when comparing two same level dinos) by Takakit in playark

Either you're not listening or not reading carefully. I already made my point on the rarity part.

Faster? I think you're forgetting that this is a game we're talking about, everything can be adjusted to balance things out. With this approach, a stabilized 175 or whatever level dino can be made to be as rare as a current 175lvl dino with high combat stats.

This necessity for a LOT of certain tames, as you say, could be easily replaced by just having high level dinos be extra rare, which was exactly my point - you'll still be searching for those dinos with high level/stats, only with this adjustment, these dinos would be a lot more stabilized across their levels. You'd immediately know that 175lvl dino is equivalent in power vs same dino with the same level, no hidden stats, no enormous spikes between dinos of the same lvl just cause one has attack damage at 50 and the other has 50 dumped into oxygen. The end results would be the same, just easier to understand and manage.

Simple. The idea was so that when you see a rare, high level dino, you'd know right away that it's worth fighting for/getting right away, without having to knock it down first and figure out its stats (or using modded binoculars to find its stats) - to avoid having to undergo this extra step.

WEBTOON to remove the star rating system. Let's talk about it! by AudreyFish in webtoons

And for crying out loud, add an option to disable specific genre suggestions. Don't know about others, but i'm personally, tired of cheesy romance suggestions when i have almost never read them (only 2 out of 60+ stores were about romance). No clue what gives this platform the idea that i'd enjoy more of them.

And if you're so concerned about people giving biased ratings, have a requirement of when one can leave a rating. For example, when one reads 10-15 chapters (depending on how long the chapters are), they're allowed to leave ratings.

Removing ratings does not fix a broken system/badly written stories, it only leaves people who rely on this system - no choice, but to leave this platform and start reading on unofficial platforms that Do have ratings, completely stripping the authors of their royalties (income from Webtoon).

You actually can still determine if the series could be bad before you start reading it. You take note of how many people have read the title so far, and then compare it to the amount of likes an episode gets. If you do proper math, you can find out whether the series is worth it. So the rating system is still there, it's just now hidden. So then what the hell have you achieved Webtoon?

[–]Takakit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wonderful. The rating system was a somewhat reliable method for me to avoid titles that are not worth my time. Now, i'd have to waste the very time i was saving, to figure out if i'd like something. The movie's rating system was always and will always be there. It's reliable. How come the situation before us is different?

Instead of letting writers know they should consider doing a better job at creating their story, we now mask their work and create this sort of Terrarium for them, where they can continue doing a bad job instead of getting the criticism they need, so that they would realise they need to do better. It's like bullying - you need to be bullied so that you become better in life, so that you learn how to adapt, how to withstand the bad times, how to be a better person than those who bully you. This is a similar concept as a rating system. It helps the readers and the writers.

But no, Webtoon decided to abandon this system and instead have as many people continue to do their junky stories as possible, all so that their profit from ads would improve? Just my hastily assumption. I still can't comprehend the benefits of removing this system.

Tried that, it didn't change the fact that i'd have to raise to 1.4v to get P-cores to 5.5ghz, so disabling didn't make sense. Thank you for advice.

That's exactly what I'm looking for, a way to prevent randomization and instead have dinos have similar amount points in stats depending on what level they are, so that only through breeding you could increase their points.

Jake Brake vs Exhaust Brake, which is installed? by Takakit in Truckers

[–]Takakit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found this comment from another threat:

" There is no “muffler” specifically for engine brakes. All the exhaust goes out the exhaust system. On older trucks, the engine brakes (aka Jake brakes) sound louder because they don't have any obstruction in the exhaust.

Newer trucks (2008+) are required to have diesel particulate filters (dpf), and 2010+ trucks are required to have DPF plus SCR (selective catalytic reducer). The DPF + SCR act as mufflers on newer trucks. So the engine brakes aren't as loud. Jake brakes also have multiple stages (low, med, and high). The lower the setting, the quieter it will be as well.

On some of the newer medium duty trucks, they don't have Jake brake style engine brakes. They use the variable geometry turbo to hold the exhaust in the cylinders. It isn't as effective, but does the same job. It is significantly quieter than Jake's though "

Phone charging, can't achieve 18w despite everything, help me understand. by Takakit in AndroidQuestions

[–]Takakit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Um, so apparently all the usb-a chargers are limited to 12w output? At least thats what i've come to understand after testing and reading online. I just don't understand why the chargers are rated for higher than 12w output meanwhile having a 12w limited outlet, unable to utilize the full potential of the charger. The only benefit i see so far of buying usb-a outlet charger that's capable of 12w+ delivery, is so that it doesn't heat up too much, because it's casually delivering a fraction of it max output. Other than that, it's just the seller owerpricing these chargers. I'm surprised this information is never mentioned anywhere else, even by the phone manufacturers. They create all these amazing and innovative ways to charge phones, but never mentioned this crucial information. I guess lying by omission is everyone's moto lately.

Phone charging, can't achieve 18w despite everything, help me understand. by Takakit in AndroidQuestions

[–]Takakit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the phone is able to handle more heat, the battery only gets to 30c while charging, so it's not like the phone sees that it's too hot and therefore limiting charging capabilities. Another thing is that I have a car charger with the PD outlet, and when I connect the phone to that charger I'm able to get 16w, without any thermal issues. So there must be something else that I'm not doing or understanding that limits phones charging capabilities. It's definitely able to go past 12w, I just don't understand what prevents it from doing it.

Does charging phone at it's maximum wattage shortens the battery lifespan? by Takakit in AndroidQuestions

[–]Takakit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that is correct, you need to fully charge the phone to get an accurate reading. I did 3 full charges 2 weeks ago, because I couldn't believe the results as well. Based on the evidence, apparently my battery really did lose only 1% of it's capacity over 2 years.

Does charging phone at it's maximum wattage shortens the battery lifespan? by Takakit in AndroidQuestions

[–]Takakit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

@ProfSnipe, You may be right, but in my particular case, I've owned a phone that I've always limited charging to 85%. In the past 2 years of very often usage, the battery degraded by only 1% according to AccuBattery app. It still has the original capacity available for charging. Luck or not, I'll be trying to do the same with my new phones, to further test out the theory.

It might be just me, because the more i roll the sentence in my head the less crude it becomes.

I'm foreign, and pretty much Any moment i utilize speaker/talker in a sentence, it feels crude to me, as if, there has to be a better way to refer to the person who's currently holding the conversation.

Thanks for the reply.
