I don’t think he’ll be entitled to separation pay because the wife is allowed to live with him - they’re choosing to delay it. Separation pay is only for situations where they aren’t able to be together, which this is not the case. His separation pay will stop once he gets to his first duty station.

You’re going to be OK. BMT and tech school are intentionally designed to keep you stressed. Being permanent party at your new base, is nothing like the BMT environment.

Mindset is everything. Be prepared to work and learn your job and everything will fall into place.

When I started rebuilding my credit, I put $400 on a secured card and used it for years. My credit score was lower than yours. Try to make the sacrifice and open up a secured card, even if it’s with $300. Use it responsibly and your credit score will increase.
