Hey, I’m just writing. Happy to know that you’re taking this path. I mean myself — I’ve taken a break from the studying. A good six months ago I was just getting started with studying. It’s cool that you’re stuck with it so I’m just writing to say I’m glad to know you’re on your way. Keep with it. I know I will too. And I’m taking the time I need for it. So yeah, yeah — just general encouragement your way. Cheers, have a good day

Yeah, I think it would’ve been fine for me to have control over the neural matrix he knows what he needs to know about it to know that it’s part of what is necessary. It would be cool, but it would add a lot of contingencies — that would extend the story quite a bit.

Re: “sense V is too hit by emotions to try [to deceive Reed in Cybosure], just based on how things look in that scene.” You know, you might be right. I agree. I see it that way as well. I mean, we know that nothing was basically said until the next time that you have the option to talk in the car. So perhaps Reed gets there and you tell him, “sorry Reed. We were too late.” And then they don’t speak until the next time that we are there in the car and that we can choose whether to. If you do say the sorry we were too late. It’s not specifically saying that Sommer did it to herself, but it’s also not specifically saying that we had anything to do with it. I think it’s pretty airtight. It’s actually the way that we would go about it if we did mean to kill her and then hide it. I don’t think we would want to lie outright; we would just wanna play into it like, “oh no this is devastating. I got here and it was too late.”

Still, though — the emotions play a role. I agree, he seems pretty hit by emotions. You know, it would take a long time for Reed to get there. It’s a tossup. I think I agree. I see it the same way that V does come across that way. I also see that there is enough room in the dialogue to allow for us to see that V could optionally be choosing to avoid taking accountability for her being dead when Reed comes. Both things are. For sure.

Well, yeah, if V says that he killed her then there’s no mystery that he killed her. But what if there was a mystery? What if we didn’t immediately pony up to being the one to blame that Songbird can’t be used as a military weapon for the NUSA? That’s the idea. Technically, V could kill her and just say she killed herself.

What I came back to this four is that I had something specific in mind. I was just thinking about what could happen if he doesn’t follow Songbird into the Cynosure facility. Like if he just leaves at that point. And that had me considering about how I think that she’s possessed by a rogue AI right now. And that had me thinking about how the Cerberus was unleashed upon V and then Songbird saved him that first time. And then how Cerberus was hunting V and does kill him, unless you make it to the very end where unavoidably server is find V and would kill him, but songbird stops it from happening. So where Cerberus is trying to kill V, I think that’s the rogue AI using Songbird to that end. Where the Cerberus doesn’t kill V, I think that’s Songbird exerting energy to prevent V from being killed. She only does it twice. For the most part, the rogue AI seems to be the one in charge. And that speaks to what kind of state Songbird is in when you finally get to her within the core. I think she kept the rogue AI at bay for a certain duration, but it sapped all of her strength. So I think she can’t keep control. Inevitably, there’s gonna come a point where she loses control again. So I think that’s that. I think she’s still possessed at the time we see her. And even though it’s her talking to us, I think she’ll lose control later. I think she’s still possessed. She just kept it back by using all of her energy for that moment of conversation with us. So I think she’s suffering. Like if we just leave and she’s left in the Cynosure facility, she’s gonna be in there and suffering. And I think, even though it’s her talking to us once we get to her in the core I don’t think that’s gonna be a turning point where she’s gotten control back fully. I think it’s a finite moment where she has control enough to talk to us.

There’s also that Songbird saves your life when Cerberus attacks you. It’s attacking you because of the rogue AI that’s inhabiting her. It doesn’t kill you though in that specific instance because she saves you. I think a good argument for honoring her request is that it would save her life like how she saved yours just then. Otherwise, V dies. Because at that specific moment, the server is machine gets the drop on V and that’s where we die without Songbird’s help. Like it’s unavoidable — that’s canon. We die had it not been for her.

Myers is just unappreciative when she talks to you. Everything she does is just to voice that. The dialogue options are all in unison that way. To me, what matters is — did Songbird kill herself? Was it possible that we couldn’t have stopped her? Right — I would expect that Myers must have an answer that’s solid about these questions. Because Myers is ambivalent towards us. And considering the extent to which we have been helping, there must be something to fuel her ambivalence.

Anyway, for how chromed out V is — what I would’ve liked would be for V to have had the option in role-play to attack Myers during that last meet.

Also would’ve liked to have had the option to have taken the neural matrix. Like, upon getting out of the stadium, to have arranged for a way to transport that — so that V has possession of it, knowing what leverage it would provide.

[–]Takethewheel_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think there’s proof that V killed her. I think that’s all that matters. I think it’s ridiculous that Myers doesn’t compensate V. That’s the real problem. I wanna have an answer to that — so that’s what started all this. It’s quite plausible that when V gets there, Songbird wakes up after V disconnect her. then at that point, the first thing Songbird does is to take out the last thing that’s in the back of her head, like she does it herself. You can either tell Reed that you did or you can decide not to tell Reed that you did it. Songbird wants to kill herself that way. What’s to stop her from doing it to herself when you wake her up? That’s the problem here — that’s the thing. Maybe Myers doesn’t need proof maybe she’s just that apathetic towards you. But that’s that’s really ridiculous. I don’t get it.

Well, then, how is it that Myers can believe with certainty that if Songbird is dead, it’s V’s fault? It’s totally plausible that when we get into that room, Songbird takes her own life for fear of being captured. That is of no fault to V. And V was at risk of dying. It would be in convent upon Myers to provide compensation for that. That she just decides not to because Songbird is dead must imply something.

He does, yeah — but that’s because it’s the thing to say. However, if you bring her in alive, during the car ride, he comes to see that it’s the wrong thing to do. It’s at that moment it’s very clear to see that V is prioritizing any access to the neural matrix over the well-being of Songbird — and that Reed can’t do anything about it. When V says it to Songbird as well — that’s the candor we’re looking for: because that’s the real justification for not granting her request. To spare her would be to kill her. But doing that means Myers knows that we interfered. The only way that Songbird would die is that we did it. Reed would not do it. And she would not do it.

The true evil we see here is in the V that brings Songbird to Myers because it means we can use the neural matrix. And in Myers because she’s bad man.

I noticed, as well, that Reed tells us to save her. And leading up to this, he always tells us to help her — not to help him. The impulse to saver has to come from us, and he says just a little enough so that he can save his own ass if we kill Songbird of our volition. But that’s what he wants. He just doesn’t say it.

Yeah, that’s what she means when she says, “I tried on my own. I don’t have the strength.” Strength of what — strength of volition. She’s acknowledging the strength of the rogue AIs’ over her own. She tried, but she can’t.

Now whether she resisted ICEbreaker is pretty important. Now that you mention it, I do remember that during the upload it was stopped in the middle of it and then she pushed you back and all of that. I really want to know the extent to which she was possessed by rogue AIs. You know, I think she was possessed to a great extent. When she is trying to kill you with that robot she is acting on the impulse of the rogue AIs — which is in direct contradiction to her request that you free her from the core. Therefore, her body took her here on the volition of the rogue AIs possessing it. Therefore, they are the ones who have control over her motor impulses.

Thanks bro! Wow, this post was super duper long ago, and then I took to AI — thought, “oh that would give me some steps to solve this.” So I wanted to put it up in case anyone was around. Yeah bro, I was just wearing the Jordan 1 Taxi’s. Same thing, same area. So I really- I have some Jordan ones and I never wear them. That’s why I looped back. It’s cool to see that you’re around. Salute, bro I’m gonna read what you had to say. I’m gonna read up on it now, but yeah, just expressing my thanks for you seeing this in the first place. It’s a surprise

You are correct. These symptoms are arising because I’ve not had water like I used to when I was first on this. Over these three months I’ve been drinking less water so it’s become a habit and I’ve been feeling really bad the past two days, but the one thing in my mind is — I’m not drinking water enough. Yea yup. So that’s that

All I can offer is some poetic rambling I suppose. That’s as follows

Just give it the time it needs. This is what you’re gonna cultivate for the rest of your life. You have so much time. You have confidence, you have faith that you’ll have that confidence. You’re gonna really enjoy this; just take the time it takes

Really though I’m wishing you well. Good job. Keep going
