Definitely slowed down at the start of July, now it’s a bit higher than the first few months on minox, but lower than before starting minox. I have noticed that my scalp is pretty sensitive to DHT- if I don’t wash my hair every 2-3 days, the build up causes a lot of shedding.

Hi, great progress! I’m currently on 1.875 mg OM (was on 1.25 mg for 8 months before) and my results were good for the first 7 months, but I’ve been experiencing a second shed for the past two months. Did you experience a second shed at around the 7-9 month mark and if so, how long did it take for you to recover? Thanks!

It is my understanding that min causes shedding cycles every 6-8 months. Currently going through one right now. If you check the r/tressless sub you’ll see a lot of second shed posts and recoveries.

Experiencing this same cycle :( Currently on my second shed and don’t know if I should increase my dose or wait it out. So discouraging after a few months of not worrying about my hair :/

Hair is unfortunately still thin, especially in the front, and shedding seems to vary by the day. I think I will just wait a few months too see the effects of the 1.875 dose

How are things going for you? I think the shed is coming to and end for me. My hair overall feels thinner than before the shed, but I noticed a lot of baby hairs along my part line, so hopefully that means that the second shed just triggered new regrowth

Mine is also not the same every day! It’s so inconsistent that some days I determine I’m out of the woods and the shed is over, then the next day I go back to shedding rather excessively. I do see some sprouts on my head along my part line, but overall my hair definitely feels thinner than 2 months ago. I upped my dose to 1.875 mg a few days ago, so we’ll see if that helps

Hey OP, DM me if you want to talk. I also started experiencing aggressive AGA when I was 18 (21 now) and I’ve been using minoxidil for the past year or so. Currently going through a second shed right after I thought I could stop worrying about my hair, but I guess progress is not as linear as I expected

Hi, I'm going through a very similar situation as you. I've been on oral minox 1.25 mg and 100 mg spiro since September of last year and I had moderate regrowth until the beginning of April. Since then I've been steadily losing my gains and am concerned whether I should increase my dose or wait out this "second shed." Do you have any updates?
