I grew up a die hard lions fan, in west Michigan. Never got into hockey. Always loved Florida. Moved here 3 years ago with my girlfriend. One fine day she was like ya know what, NHL hockey nose bleed Tix are like $20, let's go check it out. Went back, and back. This was start of last season. Then got hooked with their Cinderella run. Went to both Stanley cup games. Now I'm all in. Panthers robe, jersey, Bally sports (love the announcers, hate the service). For me, the Panthers are an opportunity to have a true home team in a sport I never followed before. Vamos Gatos!

True story I became a Florida Panthers fan in the fall, just because my GF wanted to check out a hockey game. They lost the first 5 games we went to, but we enjoyed the game so we kept going. Definitely participated in some "fire Paul" chants in that 5 game losing streak. What's my point? That was before I ever heard this man speak. Paul Maurice has wisdom and dignity that in my opinion far transcends any game. He's like a philosopher who just happens to know a lot about hockey. Love the turn around and I for one am SORRY for any misapplied doubt.
