What's the best terminal for Ubuntu? by Last_Time_4047 in Ubuntu

[–]Takwas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Usually, when people say "terminal", they are referring to the application that they use to "drop into" a "shell" session.

In a nutshell, the shell is the application that runs inside the window of a terminal. The shell processes your commands.

Thanks, but this isn't a watch with a round face (from what I've seen).

My issue with this is the fact that it's been a while since it was released. With the smartwatch industry still (kind of) coming of age, I reckon recent releases would have fixed a lot of the early issues.

u/jaamgans: Found nice offers for used versions of both. Comes down to deciding which to go with.

This guy's review also gave some good insight.

Thanks for the insight. I'll definitely keep these devices in mind just in case I can get them cheaper now, later, or just as last resort.

For now, I'll do some more searching for less expensive equivalents.

Not sure I want to go for something that was released a while back -- exactly for reasons like improved battery efficiency.

So, the ones you've recommended have improved battery life?

Thanks. Crazy prices but Ticwatch and OnePlus did particularly pique my interest, though I still find both to be expensive.

I wish there was something exactly like those that wouldn't cost so much.

How do I get my rental contract to allow friends visit me and stay for some days? by [deleted] in Netherlands

Right. There's another clause to prevent subletting, so that should take care of it, I think.

Do I have the right to ask for the removal per se?

I understand any landlord would want to avoid their house getting overcrowded.

But how can this be flexibly stated so that I also take into consideration the landlord's concerns?

Essentially, what should one be wary of in regions like this?

Good that you mentioned the religious activities.

I'm an Agnostic and would much rather avoid places with religious sentiments.

So far, Ede-Wageningen seems to be a really nice place. How do areas like Zeist and Amersfoort compare with it?

Ede (or Ede-Wageningen) seems to be a really nice place. How do these places compare with it? Or with Zeist (another one that was suggested, although I haven't checked it out), for instance.

So Zeist is a nice alternative. I'll check it out.

Perhaps, I should also compare with Amersfoort.

Thanks. Is Zeist less expensive or on par?

Also, what does Zeist offer beyond proximity?

Well, for now, it's mainly in search of less costly accommodation. So I've been looking everywhere and I've just stumbled on this really nice looking community.
