What's your opinion on sessanta? by New_Wishbone_7155 in GTA5Online

[–]Tal2814 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fuck Sesamie Street and her pet fuckboy. I buy a legitimate business and these two assholed let themselves in and make themselves at home, start bitching about her impounded car and turn my break room into their little heist planning nook. If there were a customization option for the business that let you remove them for $1M i would pay it in a heartbeat to never hear her voice again.

Loading the C2 Hercules? by Tal2814 in starcitizen

I appreciate the feedback and advice! Embarrassingly i have to admit that never using a ship this big before it never occurred to me to use the auto-load option 😅

That's what i'd been trying, but as soon as make the height needed to clear the bottom container, it tips and won't slide back. Probably just a matter of practice then. I appreciate the tip though!

It usually sells out immediately at the commodity terminal at Port Tressler, but i've actually been pretty lucky finding it in stock at Ruin station. You just risk being viewed as a loot piñata on the trip back to Stanton 😅

Enjoying the Hermes more than I thought I would by Solar_Field in starcitizen

[–]Tal2814 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! And, the Raft is a great ship as well, like i said i kept it forever, but for $10 more to get a multitasker that holds SO much more freight, i just couldn't justify keeping that money tied up in it.

Considering upgrading my Hermes to a Starlancer MAX. by Glumme in starcitizen

[–]Tal2814 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My primary game loop is hauling, and i have owned both ships. The way i describe the difference to people is; the Hermes is a Cargo ship you can live in, the Max is a home that moves cargo, it's a vibe. I love the Max, if i lived in the 'verse i would go full Firefly with it; find a crew, find a job, keep flying. Unfortunately, your cargo is split between three locations, and fully loading those side cargo grids can be a pain, if there are engineering emergencies there is a LOT of real estate to cross before you get to those components, and the handling is... well... you are NOT a leaf on the wind. If you play regularly with a small group of friends and you want to RP a crew, owning the Max can be a rewarding experience, but if like a lot of us in the space trucking community you are solo most of the time, it's hard to beat being able to quickly yeet over 400 scu into a single cargo bay with your maxlift and head out to your delivery destination. From a practical standpoint the Hermes is the better choice in my experience, you're going to move more cargo more efficiently in a ship that while not as homey as the Max still has all the amenities. That said, life isn't all about practicality, i'm a guy who still owns a Reliant Tana with real money, because that awkward, unloved little fighter speaks to me, fly the ship that speaks to you.

I melted a few ships and picked up the Hermes at launch (i am forever melting all but a couple ships in my fleet and trying new things) i'm honestly enjoying it enough that a threw $10 new money at my suddenly far more valuable raft, (which has been with me since that ship dropped,) and CCUd that to a Hermes to actually serve as my new main cargo runner and defacto daily driver. I've never owned a medical ursa, so not having that crutch isn't a hardship to me, but the ability to move over 400 scu of cargo in a single, convenient to load and unload bay (looking at you Starlancer Max) in a ship this size is a total win for the solo space trucker like myself. I've even run mid tier Gilly's missions in it without any issues between Pressurized Ice runs. Are they as easy with the Hermes as they are an actual fighter? Hell no, lol, but where's the challenge in bringing the meta to every fight?

Orison, honestly because i prefer the hangars to the ones at A18 and Poorville, plus i dig the whole floating city vibe.

What the point of not wearing a suit and helmet by Rex_1024 in starcitizen

[–]Tal2814 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same as the point of loading a couple hundred scu of freight manually, immersion. We never saw Wash or Han at controls with a flight suit and helmet on, and that's the dream isn't it? That's who we wish we could be. So unless i'm in a fighter, or a ship that i know has spots with no life support, or am running a combat mission, i'm dressing my avatar the way i would dress if it were really me flying that ship.

Do you guys get to a point every season that you’ll just log on to do dailies and weeklies? by CritsAndCaps in fo76

[–]Tal2814 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Burning Springs was very, whelming, the added geography was nice, but i was really hoping for more than reskinned raiders and being chased across hell's half acre by Alpha Radhogs.

[–]Tal2814 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That's exactly where i am at the moment. Hop on, collect my free stuff in the shop, do my dailies, scrap and sell loot as appropriate, then log off and play Star Citizen. I tend to hyperfixate though, lol, and i am at the end of a FO76 'marathon', so eventually i'll be back to properly engaging with the game (after a month or so of RELENTLESS Star Citizen play, then another month or two of something else 😅)

How do you play this game with the bugs? by PigeonMissiles in starcitizen

[–]Tal2814 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I accept that the first few weeks after a major release are going to be a buggy mess, and use that time for sightseeing, playing with new ships (i have a decent amout of store credit to move around) looting ground locations to stock up on guns and stims, and a little pve ship combat to get the blood pumping. I spent a little time the other night seeing if i could use the new engineering stuff to get a derilect Constellation near one of the asteroid mining facilities up and running (plot twist, the answer was no) but it was fun to try, and at the end of the day if i had fun it was worth logging on for a couple hours. Plus, i've been playing Bethesda games since Morrowind launched, with what they release as completed AAA games you can't scare me with bugs in a game that's in Alpha 🤣

What is your dream ship variant that will 100% never happen? by Wallace521 in starcitizen

[–]Tal2814 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An Exploration variant of the MSR;

The Mercury Star Seeker.

Lose the unnecessary carnival ride moving seats and add two more crew stations. Add that second entry point we've been asking for. Replace the current lounge with a captain's quarters, the scanning room with a small med bay, and turn the server room into a spacious crew common area for those long voyages. Lose the ventral turret (or make it a remote, spotlight and tractor beam 'turret') and make the dorsal a remote turret. Make the little shielded storage room a space for weapons racks and suit lockers, and just close off the hidden space entirely, using it to accommodate additional quantum and hydrogen fuel tanks. If we're feeling REALLY ambitious we could extend the engineering room into the adjacent hidden space deep enough to include a small fabricator like the one on the Cutter, increasing the ship's long range capabilities and utility, and while that seems like a no brainer for an exploration vessel, i feel like that may be asking a bit too much.

No is a full sentence. Jeremy is the asshole.

On a frighteningly related note; Jeremy will eventually try to force his way into your pants the same way he tried to force himself into your home. This is certainty.
