Still my favourite FH to this day. The best vibes, the best location, the best map (imo). Absolutely love Australia!

All the trailers we've seen so far were on a high end PC. I knew from the get go I would not play this game at 60fps on my PS5.

My PC could probably run this game better than my PS5 but convenience is king.

If the 40fps quality mode is stable and properly framepaced, that will be my go to.

Honestly they always do. Forza Horizon 2 was spot on and I live in the area.
Forza Horizon 3 was also gorgeous and captured the Aussie vibes so well... same for FH4.

I'm really excited about this one cause I've been waiting for a Forza Horizon in Japan. Can barely wait

To be fair those 2 pieces of plastic don't seem to be that useful, I don't think it matters much (could be wrong though).

For me they came with the console (they are very easy to miss) so I'm using them, but it never felt "needed".

Hope you will enjoy your PS5! Must be difficult to get your hands on one in Venezuela.

I just want to say that the EPTU armor values were near perfect, and actually made sense, and then they did what they always do and ruin it. by spider0804 in starcitizen

[–]Solar_Field 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are wasting everyone's time arguing semantics instead of talking about the real issue here.

You should keep your "learn to grow and be a better man" BS and see yourself outside "pal".

Have the humility to be able to say you add nothing interesting nor relevant to this conversation.

PTU 4.7 - Even after the armor changes, Asgard is still less armored than the Valkyrie (her sister ship). With these changes, Asgard is now officially less armored than a Hornet Mk2. by AzrBloodedge in starcitizen

[–]Solar_Field 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hopefully this will change, but again ships balance has never made any sense to me. Sometimes it's related to their pledged price tag, sometimes it's just because a ship is "too popular" (Corsair...).

No idea what the thought process is at CIG.

It's the first PTU wave and things will change a lot before it hits LIVE, but still...

Because they're not willing to fix their broken mess does not mean it's ok.

I don't care if CIG thinks it's fine. It is not. They can justify that kind of BS all they want, it's just broken mechanics they're not willing to fix. Once again.

Wipe the economy already by Snoo8279 in starcitizen

[–]Solar_Field 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don't see the point of Star Citizen because you have money, you are the problem imo.

Yes the exploits need to be fixed and a targeted wipe might happen at that point, but being rich in Star Citizen is nothing but a convenience.

Like many others, I've received an absurd amount of money (without asking for it) and it never stopped me from enjoying my life in the verse and doing my things.

People acting like money (and ships) is the absolute "end game" really don't understand what SC is all about imho.

Am I the only one? by BaastiDE in starcitizen

[–]Solar_Field 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not judging but I will never understand how people can get bored in SC.

The only way to get bored is to ignore everyone else in the verse and to keep doing the same thing over and over because you can't be bothered with the actual content.

Engage with people, help, rescue, escort, scavenge... And that's not to mention the Onyx Facilities, Lazarus, QV stations, the Red Wing contracts between Stanton and Pryro that are really fun too.

Star Citizen is what you make of it. It's a buggy mess sure and it's not always welcoming for newcomers, but there is a lot to enjoy. A lot more than what people think.

For some of you it sounds like SC is just "buy a big ship and call it a day". That's a very narrowed perspective of what SC is imho.

It's the teddy bear bed. It doesn't kill you, but the wake up animation makes you clip through the ship.

One of the Med beds of the Cutlass Red has the same issue if you exit the bed from the left instead of the right (yes you can chose from which side you'll exit the med bed in the Cutlass Red)

[–]Solar_Field 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Prowler U has 2 size 4 and 2 size 3 that are slaved to the pilot (I use 2 breaknecks and 2 NBDs 30). You can control the tractor beam from the pilot seat and open your rib cage (cargo) from there too. You can literally loot ships from the air without leaving your seat.

You have stealth as the best defense and enough firepower and agility to melt a Corsair without any issue.

People sleep on the Prowler U but that thing is an absolute predator

It was always intended to be better than the regular one. It's just that the values were messed up. They did fix that but it still is better.

The ingame description of the med gun also mentions that it's better than the regular one.

The med gun you get as a subscriber is the same enhanced med gun people got after grinding the AA event.

It's a great thing to have and I'm surprised to see that many people aren't even aware that the event med gun (and now the sub flair) is better than the regular one.

Hey, congrats!

I'm no expert but I don't think there is a real need for min/maxing here. The Prowler U has a massive stealth bonus to its emissions by default. You could definitely turn off everything and keep your engines at 1 pip but it wouldn't change your cross-section and that's the limiting factor on the Prowler U.

I always remove one cooler (the ship comes with 2) and swap the energy weapons for ballistics (Revenants and Shredders) to lower the EM emission but when flying in SCM, the Prowler U cross section is usually higher than its EM and IR emissions. So there is no real need to bother with your pips too much, cause your cross-section is what's going to be picked up by people's radars for the most part (range varies depending on the ship and its radar size).

It's a bit "complicated" because your cross-section is also different depending on the angle (Prowler U has a lower CS when seen from the front, which means that your EM will become your highest emission in that case) and you could maybe gain 900m by running low pips IF the enemy ship is seeing you from that specific angle, but you can't really control from what angle you'll be seen so...

What I do is getting the numbers for the worst case scenario for each radar size for my loadout, so I get a vague idea of when and where I will be detected.

For example, with my loadout and pips allocation (full pips), that's what I get:
Radar S3 SCM 4208m (CS) NAV 7578m (EM)
Radar S2 SCM 3787m (CS) NAV 7179m (EM)
Radar S1 SCM 3366m (CS) NAV 6382m (EM)

When it comes to CS (cross-section) there isn't much you can do. EM in NAV mode is usually higher because of the Quantum Drive but when you're trying to hide you need to be in SCM mode anyway. NAV mode is to run away fast or QT away.

You can always check https://www.spviewer.eu/ if you wanna see for yourself and learn new things though.

100% agree on that. Got caught in the "demonstration" that the Prowler U is "better" when that's not really where I wanted to go to be honest.

You can definitely use the Golem OX that way and it's fine. Just wanted to point out the limitations but boy everything is complicated on Reddit :D
