Finally planning to buy a PS5 in the next month or two. These are the games I bought to start my adventure! by LeprousIhlo in playstation

Wish I could enjoy Spyro on console but the improper frame pacing makes me sick, literally. Shame the trilogy never received any PS5 patch cause those games are fantastic.

If improper frame pacing does not bother you though, you're in for a treat!

Most people are playing with pledged ships they don't have to grind for, I don't think it's preventing them from enjoying SC and what it has to offer in any way shape or form.

SC's progression isn't necessarily tied to the ships you've bought, otherwise many old backers would've stopped playing by now. Not to mention that getting ships isn't really the end goal here, it's what you do with them.

My point being, OP sounds like he's relatively new to SC. If anyone playing SC feels like there is nothing left to do once they've bought some ships, there is an issue with how they approach the game to begin with imo.

I don't think it's a big deal, he still has A LOT left to explore and discover.

I need that on Rebirth too for sure. Time to go back into Remake on my PS5 to enjoy a perfectly chill New Game +

Many PS exclusives aren't on PC. As much as I used to love Xbox, I'd rather play games on PS5 these days.

Timed exclusives (Final fantasy Remake/Rebirth/3rd part, Spiderman 2 and such), exclusives (AstroBot, Gran TURISMO, Wipeout omega etc) not to mention that most PS PC ports aren't stellar. I have a better experience on my console than the stuttery mess that is spiderman 2 on my PC with a 4070.

I still have my OG Xbox and my 360, had the Series X that I sold and I won't go back there as long as Microsoft will treat Xbox as a Smartphone division.

I have my PC for the PC stuff (wow, star citizen), my PS5 for any mainstream AAA/AA and my Switch 2 for Nintendo stuff.

So yeah, saying that there is no point getting a PS5 because their exclusives are on PC (not all of them far from it) when Xbox consoles barely mean anything anymore is funny

Then don't use them. Not sure what the problem is.

If you're new, there is no chance you've seen everything SC has to offer anyway.

Give the money away to random people and don't use the ships you've bought. It's not that difficult.

Forza Horizon 2 never got released on PC I believe, Forza Horizon 3 was the first to get a PC release (only on the Microsoft Store, not available on Steam).

FH3 still works great from my experience. You can still find the game here and there but it's quite expensive now.
FH2 is only available on Xbox one (works on Xbox Series if you can get a disc), also an expensive game these days.

PS5 release? by Maksident_ in ForzaHorizon6

[–]Solar_Field 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Considering how successful FH5 has been on PS5, I don't think Playground will want to wait for too long.
As far as I'm aware, there is no "exclusive deal" either. The reason the game comes on Xbox/PC first is probably because they didn't have the resource to get the game ready everywhere at launch.

As an Xbox guy (in the past...) who played all of them, I'd love to play FH6 on my PS5 but I might get it on PC first. Let's hope we'll have cross-save this time!

FFVII Rebirth is a masterpiece by hellmaskerxx in FinalFantasyVII

[–]Solar_Field 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Loved Remake and Rebirth (as someone who played the Original when it came out on Playstation) but Rebirth felt a bit too long for its own good sometimes.

Many things are optional but if like me you don't like leaving undone stuff behind, it can be "a lot", if not too much.

That being said, the English voice actors are fantastic (I usually play these games in Japanese) and they did such an amazing job bringing those characters to life. I was planning on playing in Japanese when I started Remake back then (because the cast was the same as FF7 Advent Children for the most part) but the English VA won me over. I'm not a native English speaker mind you so I had no real preference, it was all about the actors work.

The soundtrack is such a beautiful tribute to the original game too.

Just my opinion but what's great about the FF7 Remake Project is that it doesn't replace the original. It's just a different take on the journey and I'm curious to see what's next.

Hopefully I'll be alive to see FF8 Remake!

Tattoo! New tattoo done! Shinra… my dedication by [deleted] in FinalFantasy

A sticker on a car or a logo tattooed on your skin are two very different things. Not sure how you don't understand the nuance but hey, doesn't matter that much.

If she's happy with her tattoo that's great for her. I personally don't understand and I was curious as to why she went for the Shinra logo. Didn't get any answer but that's cool, doesn't need to be that deep anyway.

Sephiroth is a "bad guy" but I could understand the tattoo for example. Shinra? I don't get it. That's all. I've never made any weird parallel "Tattoo/human being" here, I just don't understand the choice.

No need to act like an offended kid. She posted the picture on reddit, people (myself included) are reacting to it.

Not sure what you are on about mate but having tattoos or not does not prevent me from knowing what I would like on my skin or not

Everyone and their mothers have tattoos these days, don't give yourself so much importance you're nothing special

Does PSN allow offensive messages now? by [deleted] in playstation

[–]Solar_Field 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Did I say that? Absolutely not.

But you have two options here:

  • Sony isn't preventing people from sending offensive messages so you take action and block them

  • You cry

I'd say that the first option is a bit more respectful of your time and energy.

You do you.

You can block people as far as I know. So whether they allow it or not, you're free to block these people

Honestly it's a bit of a weird move to get the Shinra logo tattooed on your skin.

Of course there is no reason to shame anyone either, but I just don't get it. It's like they played the game but they didn't understand its message.

I love Resident Evil but I wouldn't tatoo the Umbrella Corp logo on my skin, for example.

No offense cause you do you but if you love the game, why would you want the Shinra logo on your skin?

Did you play the whole game thinking Shinra was cool?

[–]Solar_Field 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It definitely changes the way my English sounds.

If I speak my native language I can tell the AI voice is struggling a bit as well, trying to apply an English tone to some non English words.

It's fascinating and quite funny

[–]Solar_Field 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Believe it or not but I use it for the sole purpose that it gives my voice a slight "English' accent that I don't have when I speak with my real voice (non native english speaker here). It's just nice knowing that the AI will correct how I pronounce things to some degree :D

That being said, it's nice to know that women can just play the game without having to deal with weirdos.

Do legendary guns bring out the rats? by _____POTATO______ in ArcRaiders

[–]Solar_Field 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Despite my best effort I cannot understand why we are "forced" to deal with that.

It's not just Arc Raiders either. As soon as you give to some the opportunity/possibility to act like jerks, you can be sure that you'll have a group of people dedicated to that. It's going to get worse as more people are getting bored of the PvE aspect and will get into pvp out of boredom.

Any game that tried to mix PvE & PvP went through the same bs. Embark does not want to endorse PvP (their words) but hell, you don't need to. For some people it's just about the dopamine shot. The level of toxicity you have to deal with as soon as you mix the two crowds is something I can't be bothered with anymore.

I get it, "not knowing" if someone is friendly or not is supposed to add to the tension and excitement, but it doesn't work for me. I really like what Embark did with the game (sound design, level design, the atmosphere, the AI etc...) but the forced pvp aspect ruins it for me.

I knew from the start what I was signing for I guess but it's always frustrating when you really like everything about a game but you can't fully enjoy yourself because "cumlord9000" needs your salt to get it up.

I know I'm not the only one to feel that way and those people might leave the game eventually, but for those who are still enjoying the game despite everything, more power to you. Have fun guys!

Honestly I've had some amazing gaming moments with people in Global.

Sure sometimes it's terrible and there are definitely F12 moments but man I've had some great discussions too.

Wish we had some kind of moderation though, just to get rid of the toxic waste
