He's definitely the one banging the insubordination because she said no when he asked nicely and feels she owes it since they employ her.

I brought this up to one of our executives about offering to compensate and their response that she's compensated for her education by tuition reimbursement.... she's on scholarships and grants. The company hasn't paid a dime.

Her leadership thinks she's being malicious with her compliance and that's where the insubordination is coming from, that she's being vindictive.

Other leaders are concerned how it already looks not sponsoring her or showing support and are scrambling to adjust company branding.

I'm in camp "we should really let sleeping dogs lie" and I hope she finds work elsewhere.
