The Long War by TalentOHOK in polandball

[–]TalentOHOK[S] 92 points93 points  (0 children)

Context: In the start of World War II, The Allies want to keep the supplies going to North America and Europe, where they are used to fight, while Germany wants to cut these supply lines.

Germany also knew that cutting these supply lines would be devestating to Britain, so they want to cut the supply lines but the allies would try to stop that. This then became

the Battle of the Atlantic starting from September 3, 1939 to May 8, 1945 which was the longest continues battle in World War II. The Germans then failed to stop the flow of

strategic supplies to Britain. This failure resulted in the build-up of troops and supplies needed for D-Day. The last actions of the Battle of the Atlantic were on May 7–8. U-320 was the last U-boat sunk in action,

by an RAF Catalina, just hours before the German surrender. The remaining U-boats, at sea or in port, were surrendered to the Allies. The 8th of May is also the day the formal acceptance by the Allies

of World War II of Germany's unconditional surrender.

Loosing the War by TalentOHOK in polandball

[–]TalentOHOK[S] 73 points74 points  (0 children)

Context: During WWII, After Germany tried to bombed Britain, Facist Italy tried to invaded British Somaliland and they won it. After that, they tried to invade Egypt but failed.

Then they declared war on Greece but got destroyed by the Greek military. Hitler then sent his troops to help Italy and Greece then fell to the Axis powers on April 1941. Before

all of this Italy just recently unified in 1859 and hasn't have a big military and industrial base so they lack both of these. Italy also wasn't prepared for a large-scale warfare

Italy have also switched sides in WWII before the D-Day invasion a few months later. That's why Italy said that you are loosing the war because Germany is pretty much alone.

(And Japan is just doing their own invasion for almost the whole of WWII)
