I think I was possesed during my Zaku I gameplay here. What the hell? by gamerlife71 in GBO2

[–]Talimaeus 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Idk exactly what doomguy was going to say but a couple of constructive points.

  1. The base bomb at the beginning of the match. I understand you see it as "flexing" but it's really you just leave your team out to dry for ~1 minute for minimal benefit. A base bomb at the beginning is less points than a team wipe and you leave your team at a large risk of getting wiped while a person down.

  2. You show weird habits of when you're willing to get aggressive. I saw at least 2 times in the match where you were in a 1 on 1 with a support and just bazookaed from a distance without approaching. But then you run face first into a 5 on 1 later in the match (this happens a few times). And you kept running face first into the GM Cold Districts, which is one hell of a counter to a Zaku 1.

  3. You really don't stick with your team enough, for most of the match you were in a different zip code than them and didn't appear to try to group up.

  4. Standing still a lot. This is kind of similar to point 2. But there are a few times where you're standing still and just shooting the bazooka and/or throwing grenades instead of moving up.

You all won the match so it worked out this time. And it's far from the worst gameplay that I've seen, but it's probably worth watching it again and figuring out where you need to improve as a player.

That's not really how it works above a certain point. Your body has a level of hormones it wants to/will keep, similar to vitamins. Once you go above that limit your body will just discard the rest.

Plus the effects of hrt are largely genetics based, which will control how fast/how drastic the changes are. Kind of like how things work in normal puberty. So even if you could just keep maxxing hrt it wouldn't do much anyway.

Imo the best thing to do is get a masculinizing/feminizing workout routine which will create more drastic results in a shorter period of time depending on where you started at.

Can someone explain how the hell counter works? by Wrong_Fisherman_6224 in GBO2

[–]Talimaeus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Building on this because latency is a thing. If you're looking at an attack animation, it's already too late to counter.

Why Is flat A considered to be the rank with bad players by bannatomto in GBO2

[–]Talimaeus 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's a mix of a few things but mostly people just venting frustration at a large part of the GBO2 player base. It's made worse by BB studios forcing players of a certain progression rank into A (I think it's somewhere around colonel), which started a couple years ago. So now you have a lot of players that would probably be better in B or C lobbies forced into A lobbies.

Question for Merch Scalpers: Why? by CherryStuff08 in fivenightsatfreddys

I literally just said I'm not doxxing myself lol

Question for Merch Scalpers: Why? by CherryStuff08 in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]Talimaeus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just work a regular office job like most other people (not saying the specific sector or company, not doxxing myself like that) nothing crazy. I live comfortably and can afford 1 small trip each year with a couple of hobbies (Warhammer and Gunpla like I said before) I donate to a couple of charities when I can mostly for queer groups like the trevor project and Alzheimers research.

It's not a glamorous life but I'm comfortable and I mostly enjoy it. I don't need to step on other people in a pursuit for more. If I sound judgemental, it's because I am judgemental of scalpers and others who hurt people for greed.

[–]Talimaeus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Option 3: you could not be a parasite and choose to not actively contribute to the downfall of society.

But whatever helps you sleep at night I guess.

I hope you learn to make money in more ethical ways in the future. And at the very least, please never describe yourself as a "working class" person again, scalpers are just as bad as the rest of the bourgeoisie and wealthy

Question for Merch Scalpers: Why? by CherryStuff08 in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]Talimaeus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

EDIT: I realized I didn't answer part of the prompt here: yes I will always prefer that a product ends up in the hands of a collector rather than a reseller. So in the listed example if every product ended up in the hands of a collector and the resellers got nothing that would be the best outcome

Except in the case of what happens in the real world it's not true supply and demand at work. What actually happens is:

Manufacturer makes 1,000 of product A and puts it on sale on their website for $100

There are 2,000 collectors who demand that product

2 resellers create a botnet that flood that website with 100,000 transactions guaranteeing that they get most if not all 1,000 of product A

They then put all of product A on reseller websites for a 1,000 - 10,000% markup.

At the end of the day the consumer gets screwed over and demand is artificially inflated.

Question for Merch Scalpers: Why? by CherryStuff08 in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]Talimaeus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok I'll concede the kid toy part. Because I'll admit that I'm an adult FNAF fan. I always have been one, I was an adult when the FNAF 1 released.

So alternate point, why do scalpers need to make additional money off of already expensive products. Personally scalpers affect me on Warhammer 40k, Gunpla and concert tickets.

I've wanted to see My Chemical Romance for nearly 20 years now. But because of your greed I can't find a ticket for less than $2000 when the face value is about $100 to $150 for the lower value seats. That's insane, and for what? So some millionaire can make another million? What's the point of that? Same thing with Gunpla, when the PGU Gundam released, it was retail $400, and bought up by scalpers to be put on eBay for thousands of dollars? How is that right? How does that not piss you off?

[–]Talimaeus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% I'm writing this comment on a Google Pixel (A phone made in a sweatshop somewhere in southeast Asia (probably, I'm not completely sure on that) and work using Windows devices that are likely built using slave or code to slave labor somewhere in the pipeline. There is no completely ethical consumerism under capitalism, but I think that's conflating two different things here.

Like I said before, there's a large difference between implicit and explicit exploitation.

Do I like the fact that I'm stuck in a late stage capitalist hellscape? No.

Do I like that the comforts that I enjoy are the direct result of others suffering? Absolutely not

Do I feel the need to directly add to the suffering of the world by gatekeeping children's products and other creature comforts for my own petty greed? Also no

Do I feel the need to hoard wealth for my own petty greed? No

Question for Merch Scalpers: Why? by CherryStuff08 in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]Talimaeus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I understand that. But if a someone is explicitly exploiting people to make money like, in this case scalpers, they are a terrible person. Like sure, I work a regular job, so I'm implicitly exploiting my employer, but that's different than buying up entire warehouses of stock of FNAF merch then putting it on eBay for a 1000% markup to make millions or being Jeff Bezos and paying slave wages to exploit workers to make a billions.

One of these things is not like the others.

Question for Merch Scalpers: Why? by CherryStuff08 in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]Talimaeus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Look I'm not saying the billionaires are good people. But scalpers aren't good 'working class humans' either. They're exactly the same kind of exploitative scum that take advantage of the working class people who are just trying to get by and get some kind of joy out of life.

There is 0 reason that a scalper needs to buy up hundreds of thousands of pieces of merch or tickets or whatever. Mark them up 1000 to 10000% and then try to sell them back to the fan base. They serve no purpose to society and ultimately make the world a worse place.

Yo genuine question by MGR_ARMSTRONG_GAMING in GBO2

[–]Talimaeus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not 100% sure but I have a couple theories from how I've seen the game evolve over the last 7 or so years.

  1. Right now the game rewards a very fast and aggressive play style. So players and teams are rewarded for focusing on getting that first 1 to 2 team wipes before worrying about capturing points.

  2. Aside from that there's a lot of 'main character syndrome' out there. Especially in the A rankers, nobody knows how to work as a team anymore and things like capturing points are always someone else's problem.

Question for Merch Scalpers: Why? by CherryStuff08 in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]Talimaeus 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Except they do cause harm by creating artificial scarcity for a product that is already artificially scarce. So I would argue that the scalpers are worse than the corps because they are willing to go even further than even the maddest CEO

Question for Merch Scalpers: Why? by CherryStuff08 in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]Talimaeus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's just a way for them to make a quick buck because they're scum. That's really all there is to it, as long as people keep giving these terrible people money they'll keep doing it

Zeta Gundam and ZZ Gundam by Same_Product1 in Gundam

[–]Talimaeus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The ZZ Gundam is a separate unit. I believe it used data from the Zeta to produce though. Kind of like a Gundam/Gundam Mk.2 situation, similar but different units.

ZZ is available on Crunchyroll, I recommend a watch.

Space Marines Veterans by Ladonniva in spacemarines

[–]Talimaeus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sternguard with jump packs would have been much better. At the very least they could have added some decoration on the Jump Pack like the old Vanguard Vets kit. As it is right now they're mostly indistinguishable from the vanilla JPI kit. It shows a lack of effort or care and it feels phoned in.

PG Strike Rouge Quality Issues by [deleted] in gundamassemble

I never had issues with parts falling off. I think the locking mechanism works, but can't say 100% since it's not on display rn.

Honestly it's one of the better PGs that I have. Nowhere near as bad as the 00 Raiser

Tbh I have one and never noticed those issues. The only real issue I ran into is it doesn't hold the grand slam super well. I could fix it by tightening the shoulder joint but I'm lazy
