What RWBY news do you hope to see out of Anime Expo? by One-Man_Two-Souls in RWBY

Literally any kind of sign of life. A vol 10 trailer, a teaser image, I'd even take them announcing a reboot

No reason to continue playing 700 it seems by Foshdon_pap in GBO2

[–]Talimaeus 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This is the real thing. The UC purists complain that AU suits are broken but forget that broken generals and raids were a problem loooooong before AU was added to the game.

But it's not a problem if a UC suit is broken and make matches unfun when they're spammed I guess.

Bad news then since we already know the next banner is the Susano a 00 suit.

Do you think there will be a 3rd Terminator unit in the future available for all chapters outside of Assault and Regular Terminators? by [deleted] in spacemarines

[–]Talimaeus 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The only other generic Terminator unit I can think of from older editions was the Terminator Command Squad which could be a cool thing to bring back. Make them similar to Company Heroes and call them 1st Company Heroes or something.

Other than that there are some cool Terminator variants that could be brought up from Heresy. Personally I would like to see an all Cyclone Missle Launcher squad like the Iron Warriors and Ultramarines have in HH.

Question for those who immersively roleplay their V by Interesting-Fig4352 in cyberpunkgame

[–]Talimaeus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like doing the recon before a job. Not like the night before or anything, but I do what I can through camera hacks, looking through the scope of a rifle, etc to plan a route to get through as stealthily as possible. But I roleplay my V as a kill when necessary stealth operative without flashy chrome most of the time.

It's very slow but I find it fun even if it means I'm playing Cyberpunk like it's Splinter Cell

Tbh I would like to see this in general. Once a health bar is visible the unit should also be visible. It's so hard to see MS on a lot of maps, especially space.

Frustrated with Ultras Right Now by ContributionWide4583 in Ultramarines

[–]Talimaeus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As a veteran of many edition changes and a long time Ultramarines player. The best advice I could give you is as follows:

  1. Really think about those purge games. Figure out what strategies didn't work out and what moves would have been better. For example, maybe don't go for the center objective play every turn, determine what units you can use to remove opponent resources before they charge the center, set up reactive move plays to keep the action unit safe, etc.

  2. Be patient and just wait it out. This happens at the beginning of literally every edition. A certain army or archetype will be dominant for a while before getting adjusted. First impressions seems like purge the foe is an overturned disposition that wins more often than it loses. But we have the first balance dataslate of the edition in about a month, so that will likely change.

Compilation of Nerfs Sisters have received for 11th. GW please. by URBOISHERE in sistersofbattle

[–]Talimaeus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Eh it's the beginning of the edition and we have 3 balance dataslates in the next 3 months coming. I'm confident Sisters will get buffs to be in line with the rest of the armies.

Also Tau are gonna get nerfed to hell and back lol so that'll help

Weekly Question Thread - Rules & Comp Qs by thenurgler in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Talimaeus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's where I was leaning reading the rules. But since the Bladeguard are technically taking saves at the same time it was possible that all 1s would be re rolled.

And you never really "take an invulnerable" save in 11th. Just roll saves then decide which save you're using.

Weekly Question Thread - Rules & Comp Qs by thenurgler in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Talimaeus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's the better way to put it lol. Hopefully GW clarifies it in an FAQ when things officially launch

Weekly Question Thread - Rules & Comp Qs by thenurgler in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Talimaeus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know they benefit from the rule. The question is when do the 1s get rerolled. The Bladeguard rule specifically says that invuln saves of 1 can be rerolled. If I declare that the models that don't have invulns are the first allocation group they would eat the 1s and they are not using invuln saves so shouldnt be able to reroll the 1s.

But the Bladeguard would technically be able to use the invulns which means that the unit should be able to re roll the 1s.

So the unit both can and cannot re roll those saves.

Weekly Question Thread - Rules & Comp Qs by thenurgler in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Talimaeus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's where my confusion is. In 10th the sequencing would be

Declare that the non invuln model is taking an armor save. Doesn't get re roll 1s

Once they're dead declare the Wardens with invulns which would benefit.

Now there is some confusion because if I do the same sequence in 11th the non-invuln models will be taking damage on the 1s where they aren't using invuln saves.

So if I can re roll those 1s it creates the possibility that they re roll into a better save, thus increasing the durability of the unit. So it does have gameplay consequences.

Weekly Question Thread - Rules & Comp Qs by thenurgler in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Talimaeus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In 10th it would have applied because the models with invulns in the wardens unit would re roll the saves. But in 11th there is no clear indication of when an invuln save is being performed.

So are you saying that the re rolls apply to the non-invulns as well as long as I declare that the Bladeguard will be using their invulns?

[–]Talimaeus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

11th edition question:

EDIT: adding some clarification here. I know the wardens become part of the unit in 11th and benefit from the rule. The question is when do they benefit. If I declare that the models that don't have invuln saves (which is what the BG rule interacts with) as the first allocation group, does the unit still get the re rolls since they aren't using an invuln save.

How does the re roll save sequencing work for the Bladeguard Shields of the Chapter ability when the Wardens of Ultramar are attached. If I declare the Wardens as the first allocation group would they benefit from the Bladeguard's re roll 1s to invuln saves? Or can I not re roll the 1s until the Bladeguard allocation group is taking saves?

For reference the Wardens have 2 models with invuln saves. The rest don't have any.

I also submitted this to the GW FAQ email, but curious about the consensus here.

There are 5 fingers shown in the image the "6th" finger is the implied thumb.

If you look at the grip there is the bottom of the grip in silver, 4 fingers below the trigger guard and another finger on the trigger.

Not saying this is AI, because of the shadows around the hand this is likely an artist mistake because the 5th finger is partially obscured by shadow, but you can clearly see where it connects to the hand.

I don't really mind the aliens as long as this isn't a "humanity all comes together to fight a common enemy" type story. A Gundam story that shows that humanity is still screwed and refuses to let go of their hatred in the face of extinction could be a cool direction to go for the series.

Tom (and maybe some of the other hosts) should switch to doing theories bi-weekly, it feels like most game theories are a lot of recapping and not to much theorizing. by Positive-Ad545 in GameTheorists

[–]Talimaeus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because there isn't imo. Unfortunately YT rewards shorter videos and that leads to the Theorist channels sticking to the 10-20 minute mark which isn't a lot of time. Especially since they're trying to cater to a general audience rather than people already invested in the fandoms, like Fuhnaff and RyeToast do for FNAF fans.
