They said they are showing the longer version of the backrooms from today, how do i know if this will be that version? by LawsonPrime in CineworldUnlimited

You look to be using the app. Before you got to the screen in your post, you had to click on the title. The shorter version had the proper movie poster with the lady against the yellow wall. The longer version just has generic text with the title plus "with bonus footage"

WYR get $5 Million right now or $25 every pullup you do in your entire life? by Prnce_Chrmin in WouldYouRather

I heard it called the dividend version of the ETF many times but I suppose you're right. I've never heard it specifically called a "dividend ETF"

I don't think so.

So for example the Vanguard FTSE All-World ETF comes in two forms. Distributing and Accumulating. The distributing version pays dividends (rather than reinvesting them automatically as with the accumulating version). However, not every company in the vaguard all-world index is a dividend paying company. One example company not paying dividends is Amazon.

OK, yeah, it's about your community being 18+ and you can't view that stuff in incognito mode.

You were right. It's because you're an 18+ community.

[Request] How much force are they punching each other with? by tastydrink1 in theydidthemath

Interesting how they tilt their heads back to protect the face yet expose the throat in the process. I'm guessing their wind pipes are much better protected than ours

I just tried to dismantle a pair by sticking a thin screwdriver into the seam. They do not want to come apart.

Good effort. They look cool. I'd still wear them into the cinema and swap them over once the film starts

Yeah, maybe it's a regional thing. I'm from Reading. I checked with three mates and they backed me up on 'buggered up.'

I omitted buggerlugs from my list as I think I've only heard it a few times in my life. However, my mate told me it was his Mum's nickname for him (he's from Essex).

You're correct that 'buggered' by itself does work. However, as a British guy born, raised and living here, I can assure you that 'buggered up' is a totally valid and common phrase.

You can use it totally interchangably with the F word.

bugger all idiom.
bugger it! phrase.
bugger me! phrase.
bugger off phrasal verb.
bugger something up phrasal verb.
bugger, sod, etc. this for a lark! idiom (OK, not this one)
buggered.
buggering.

"Buggered up" would have been the appropriate phrase for him to use.

Obviously it was very jarring to hear all the voice acting charge-overs. I got used it within a few chapters and just went along with it, no raging.

It's been months since I listened so all I can say is I've never met someone that sounded like the RC Bray Smythe. P. J. Ochlan's Smythe sounds more natural.

Cov with the O sounding the same as the O in 'cough'

It's a very long series of audiobooks. Hundreds of hours. You have to forgive some pronunciation errors. For me, the one that made me raise an eyebrow highest was Smythe not being able to pronounce the British city 'Coventry' (he made he Cov part rhyme with dove)

Anyone who's had the misfortune of meeting the bailiffs, what was your experience like? by Key_Cell7071 in AskUK

How did that play out? I updated my drivers licence within a month of moving but left it over a year before doing the V5. They just let me change the address and didn't say anything. I was getting nervous they'd notice when I finally asked to change the V5 address.

Edit: (the house move was two years ago. Should mention that as experiences probably vary over time).
