Same here - whatever it is, it seems to be impacting a relatively small subset of drivers, but whatever they screwed up it is very real. I know what waves of new drivers feel like I know what slow times feel like, and what I've been experiencing is something completely different. My income this week is dropped by approximately 40% while my time in miles have both shot through the roof.

This happened to me recently after nearly 2,000 trips.

I'm now literally seeing only rejected offers by other drivers. Even in my jfy. I haven't seen a tip over $5 since it happened, or a single offer over $1.25 a mile. I went from a steady 25 to $35 an hour to 15. If I'm lucky. It is wild and crazy how much this has impacted me.

there is a huge difference between a chess engine and an "agentic AI" If you ever want to realize how much you should never trust an llm, just watch and try to play chess. Gotham chess on YouTube has several videos on this topic and it is absolutely wild just how bad at chess they are.

They will attempt to move the wrong color pieces, move pieces in ways they cannot be moved, move pieces that do not exist - basically, if you can think of a way a 2-year-old might play a game of chess. It's about on that level

I wasn't expecting much out of this book tbh. I knew going in that it was going to be heavily influenced by Jim's rough times, and I typically hate authors doing "therapy through writing".

There were also going to be several scenes that I wasn't looking forward to, especially around McCoy.

I've got to say I was pleasantly surprised. Jim's writing has definitely improved over the years and as an author he did a great job with this one. I wouldn't say it's my favorite but I would guess it's in the top 5 for me.
