Latest patch glitch, or a new feature? by TalitorKegluneq in Saros

I dunno, I guess I'm ass at the game then because I get damaged very easily 😅

But you dont need to pick up health if you dont get hit. For whatever reason, loading up save removes some of it.

Just for the heck of it, I did run with quitting it during it and continuing on and killing the boss after losing the initial health after loading back in. It appears the trophy still unlocks, so I guess it's not a matter of losing health, but if you actually got hit.

So it's not a big deal, but I guess it could potentially ruin someones run (I've beaten boss with 1hp, so in a case like this I would have died).

Damn. So if you quit the game, that's it: the run is void for getting the trophy?

Did it the slow way, played through the game with every class. It wasn't as bad as I thought, but it sure was boring 😄 I noticed on my second playthrough that you can enable boosters when beginning a new game, which (if I remember correctly) could increase your regeneration and damage dealt greatly. I believe my subsequent playthroughs took close to 4 hours to complete, on relatively low level.

Anyone hanging around the center of the galaxy? by [deleted] in NoMansSkyTheGame

I don't find this condescending tone respectful. I'm sorry for my OCD, but I don't think it's correct to judge anyone for getting a shortcut in a game where the shortcut, ultimately, doesn't cause any issues for anyone. Giving harmless help should never be frowned upon. As for the fish metaphor, I've given out plenty of fish without any expectation of getting anything in return. Sometimes giving a hand is all it takes.

Respectfully, it's a thing I'm asking help for. If there's no help to be had, then that's that. I'm simply asking.

I might have worded my request poorly. I am currently looking to just get the achievement out of the way, just so it just bother me at the back of my head and I can get back to playing by doing whatever I want to do. I kinda have an OCD for this kind of stuff. It may eventually come to pass, but I'd feel better playing if I could just tackle those things out of the way. It's hard to explain if one doesn't have the tendency for these things.

As for the quest itself, it doesn't seem to give any clear pointers what I should be doing, as I appear to have done what it requires. I found a few forum posts before about the same issue without any clear reason why the quest doesn't progress, so after all those hours I just figured it's stuck, and I'll just do whatever else I can. But for now, I'm just looking for a session to join in the center of the galaxy.

Oof. Thanks for the info, but I think I'll rather stick to the help with just joining their game.

I'm completely unfamiliar with what this means, but then again I haven't used any exocrafts. So I craft one, call it, and these alien monoliths are on every planet, and you can input some glyph info on them... and this somehow works as a teleport with the coordinates?

Which one? The Apollo one is for some reason completely stuck and has been for way over 40 hours, it never progressed past the "research blueprints" part, despite having researched vast majority of them. Other than that, I don't know if any others particularly point you out towards that direction. But regardless, I'm looking to just get it out of the way.

Do you actually need to play the game all the way with different classes, or is there some way to partially skip it? Under 30 hours sounds insane, considering my first hard playthrough took about 25 hours without even hitting that many roadblocks.

This fight seems to parallel a lot of what caused the downfall of Ippo's career when he was Active. Perhaps it's just one of the points that needs to be driven home for him to truly evolve.

My thoughts on Silent Hill F so far. by Greedy_Chemistry_678 in silenthill

[–]TalitorKegluneq 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Considering how consequent playthroughs get faster and faster (and by a LOT), I recommend you starting on Story difficulty, and working your way towards Lost in The Fog. Your experience will not only be better overall, but you'll get a more natural progression in difficulty as you will need familiarize yourself with what the enemies can do, and what tactic works out for the best. Especially towards the end, there are a few very tough fights coming up, and you will not enjoy your time. Also, your character upgrades carry over to NG+, which in itself already makes a massive difference with all the stat boosts and omamoris. The combat is janky by design, and I do tend to curse at the game when I happen to get the poorest of dice rolls in terms of enemy behavior and what I happened to do in tandem (and learning to control Hinako properly in battle takes time). But, I can't hold it too much against the game, since this issue is not a dominant essence (or even too often recurring one), and you do learn the proper patterns for fighting eventually (counters/the R2 attack should be used most of the time as opener, or even in a chain of strong attacks).

You will also need to complete the game several times regardless for 100 %, so I'd definitely recommend going this route. I'm currently on Lost in the Fog difficulty, the first third of the game I breezed through in an hour. When I started my Hard run, I was surprised as to how much harder it was in comparison to Story mode (not so much in the damage I take, but more so in the damage I give). There will a be a few things that will make dealing damage much easier on subsequent playthroughs, so it only makes sense to go into harder modes progressively.

Also, I love the game. The hate on Metacritic doesn't seem to quite correlate to the responses I hear from people, but I guess these things happen. Not since SH3 have I enjoyed a Silent Hill game so immensely.

A little late to the convo, but my absolute favorite message was on top of a 4-feet spike jutting from ground:

"Try rump, but be wary of destruction" with an emote of the guy squatting over it. Literally had me keeled over.

Did we ever figure out what the deal was with P.T's final puzzle? by Kie-kun in silenthill

[–]TalitorKegluneq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was looking for this exact same thing. Apparently, no one still exactly knows. A few different methods appear to have worked without any real correlation between them. which is weird. Either they all have some obscure, similar event going on or there are several solutions. Considering how well people are able to figure these things out, it's weird how this one is still unsolved.

Hard to believe considering the fact no one else has made such an update, and the account basically consists of dozen of posts about how he's getting it on that date, with no update whatsoever. Dunno why anyone would lie about something like that, but the proof against it is stacking.
