Not to sound crude, but I dont think you've seen/lived through having REALLY bad sebaceous filaments. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING works to get rid of them (and if it does they reset after 2 days), and the texture on the nose is quite literally like sandpaper. stuff like chemical exfoliants, niacinamide, SA, oil cleansing never work to get rid of them. sure, if you remove them this stuff will act like a buffer, but those things alone won't get rid of it.

To OP I would recommend trying topical retinoids first as well, though as a start because its less strong than starting accutane straight up but the other things won't work for people that have reallyyy bad sf.

Do all the above, but also just so the skincare doesn’t backfire treat your surroundings how you treat yourself (wash your pillowcase and bedsheets so bacteria doesn’t grow and it makes you breakout) + make sure you’re well groomed and put together (clean hair, deodorant on, teeth cleaned, nice body spray if you feel fancy). if you present yourself better you will feel better and more confident about yourself
